Hello all,

A few days ago Mike and I travelled to Drax Power Station in North Yorkshire, with the guys from Rails of Sheffield, to show them the completed models and present them with a cheque for £2000 for Drax's nominated charity, Martin House Hospice, raised from sales of the N gauge Drax biomass models.

The picture shows, left to right, Bruce Heppenstall (Plant Director, Drax Power), Ben Ando, Mike Hale (Revolution Trains), Michelle Ford (Regional Fundraiser, Martin House Hospice), Mark Gibbens (Head of Logistics, Drax Power), Oliver Davies, Adam Davies, John Barbour (Rails of Sheffield), Jane Breach (Drax Power.)  CREDIT IAN BROADHEAD.

We were also given a tour of the plant, including the biomass unloading terminal, and have prepared this short video to show how the wagons form part of a huge integrated system:

We'd like to thank everyone who has purchased these models and helped us raise money for such a good cause.  I understand from Rails that limited numbers are still available.

cheers

Excellent gesture and a worthy charity!

Just added another 2 to my rake taking it to 10. Thinking around 16 will be enough to create a decent impression of a full rake in N so hope they don't sell out too quickly  🤣

Hello all,

Revolution was delighted join DB Cargo UK and Drax Power for the naming of 66190 in honour of Martin House Children's Hospice, Drax's chosen charity.  We were invited due to Revolution and Rails of Sheffield previously donating a share of sales proceeds to.

The photo shows Mike and Ben from Revolution with Rosie Mellor-Silvester and Michelle Ford from Martin House and Mark Gibbens from Drax.

In total, and largely through arranging a series of exclusive charters, DB Cargo UK, Network Rail and other partners in the rail industry have raised an incredible £200,000 for Martin House Childrens Hospice.

The ceremony also included a short railtour from York to Drax and back.

Martin House helped friends of mine - it's an amazing organisation so thanks to Revolution and everyone who's bought the biomass wagons for playing a part in helping them carry on doing amazing work.
