RMweb Premium melmerby Posted June 19, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) Hi all Tonight out of the bedroom wondow I could see some bright coloured lights in the sky, so I opened the window to get a better look. It was quite impressive and colourful with many different shapes drawn in lights. After some minutes it became clear what it was for - It was an aerial advert for the new TV service Paramount + I don't know how far away it was but you could hear the sound of the motors/propellors. I wonder if this will be a new way of plugging your product? Mike. The same firm that did that (Skymagic), did the one at Hollywood (Worcestershire). Apparently the (only) previous outing for the Paramount + light show was over Sydney Harbour Bridge on 29th May and that drew a huge audience. It runs for 9 minutes and features animations of characters & items from shows to be screened on Paramount + The local grapevine hadn't mentioned it so I wonder why such a low key effort? EDIT It's also been in some of the national press! It consists of 600 drones at up to 200m off the ground and is 50% bigger than the jubilee show. However they had moved it slightly to the E so that part was obscured by next door's ash tree and it was also slightly lower in the sky so the bottom was sometimes partly obscured by the general tree line The sky was also still partly light which rather reduced the impact from my viewpoint and affected the cameras focus Best laid plans and all that.....☹️ Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
