Hoping to create more CADs soon, which will make it more worthwhile to get my own resin machine. I do have an FDM printer, but I've never got on with it. CazRail
This evening I finally finished adding transfers to all 17 wagons. The 'final 6' now need spraying into matt varnish, before which Ill need to disassemble my airbrushes to clean them out and get them working again. Remaining jobs is to fabricate the replacement ladders, fit them to the remaining wagons, fit the brake lever cross bar under the wagons, paint them, and fit Accurascale buffers once they come back into stock. CazRail
The Accurascale buffers have finally come back into stock, and have duly ordered a few packs to finish off the remaining bufferless wagons. So, as they're back on the layout, I thought I'd take some photos. 7

RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted July 24, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2023 Look nice - you need me standing on the top of one looking a bit nervous ! When I was in the Mostyn team we went to Anglesey and photographed all the wagons, all over, including the tops (hence my comment above) - I think @PaulCheffus may still have copies of my images ?

BR traction instructor
There is also a full rake build of these Petcoke hoppers (4mm, P4) happening concurrently on the Scalefour Society website, using etched underframes and will debut at The Spalding 2023 exhibition in November on Mostyn... simon br blue
Hope its OK to also join in on this thread, I've been following the progress on this thread and have been working on 7mm version of the PAB hopper. I also used Shapeways to print the chassis with a bonus of 7mm being able to print the chassis in one piece. The body, hatches and doors were printed in PLA on Ender 3v2 printer. The walkway and ladders printed by shapeways and I also used Accurascale Oleo buffers. 7mm PAB coke hopper by simon br blue, on Flickr 7mm PAB coke hopper by simon br blue, on Flickr
