Some of us refuse to use BookFace. Bit unfair that they exclude people by using that.

Or a company aiming at their target audience by using every available resource? I don't do Facebook either, but it's a useful resource for companies.

Next thread below this one?

"Hornby Loss", they need the extra revenue. If using Facebook puts a few pennies in the bank, then go for it.

It's only the Santa Train set anyway. Currently about £50 in some retailers.

What I personally wouldn't mind would be some vouchers, then I could use them for any future TT purchases! 👍

Join the Hornby rewards club and enter the day 1 competition. £100 worth of Hornby points should help!

If I refuse to buy Hornby would that be unfair on me too?   LOL

The reason I, and many others, don't use Bookface is because of their information mining of personal data. I hate this and feel my personal information is none of their business.

If you're a social media user, then it's just another "like" or whatever. if not then you just ignore it. Occasionally there is a "give us your email address" for a lucky dip, as they already have mine, those are the ones I enter. They're not learning anything new.

Perhaps thats why I've never won anything...  🤪

Day SEVEN

Back to a non-social media competition entry.

Win an iTraveller 6000 trainset by going to the Hornby website and giving them your name and email address.

Which they will probably have already...

Day EIGHT

Win a BR A3 Flying Scotsman with all the usual Facebook incantations.

I wish Hornby would give the R number so we'd know exactly what is on offer...

Looks like it's only open to Collectors Club members, can't say I'm heartbroken ;-)
