I can confirm that I will be attending this show, despite not being on the list* - it's definitely the furthest south JSModels has ventured...

*The list hasn't been updated since last year, it seems.

No DEMU stand again then sadly

The link to the Societies is still showing the 2022 list and not the 2023 list, but no DEMU have yet again not been invited, despite being a stalwart of the show for many many years.

But I also believe that the N Gauge Society haven't been invited either??

Regards

Neal.

The general info, layouts, exhibitors, getting there and booking pages are all up to date on WOR (despite one page saying updated 2022 - this is in the process of being changed). We are working on the societies page. Any other questions, let me know!

Neal the Society is on the list

Maurice,

They're not, the list is still the 2022 list.

Just out of curiosity, do you know the current position for DEMU and MERG (I'm a member of both) - and have the societies been contacted?

If you're not in a position to answer in-forum, I've got no problem - I'd just like to check that the position has been established.

So is the Website correct?  Copenhagen Fields will be there?  I'm coming from Australia and it's on my shortlist to see (along with Broadford in H0 multi gauge).

We’re very much looking forward to the show. You’re welcome to come behind the layout if you wish: and anyone else if interested.

Huw,

I can't answer for MERG, but DEMU hasn't been contacted at all.

I`ve just booked my ticket to the York Model Railway Show, who are now using the same company Eventbrite, as Warners are using for their 3 shows, but the one big difference is that with the YMRS, there is no need to specify a particular visiting day. Tickets are valid for any one of the 3 days: Sat, Sun or Mon.

It would save a lot of hassle if Warners would adopt the same arrangement for their shows.

Some years since i went to this show but it used to be a regular for me but the heavy Bank Holiday weekend traffic put me off driving there although there was bags of parking space once you got there.   And when not driving  back then there was a shuttle bus from Bristol Parkway station which worked out very nicely.   However since that was discontinued it is a difficult one to get at by public transport so it's dropped off my list which is a shame as it could be a very good show.

I believe that as long as one advises COP 24hrs before one can attend any day.

This is correct, if you would like the day of your ticket changing just email us at RMWebGold@warnersgroup.co.uk and we can change it as long as you give us 24 hrs notice

The list of clubs and societies is still showing the 2022 list. I understand that due to a lack of available space, EM Gauge Society has not been invited to attend the Bristol show.

I find it very disappointing to see the specialist societies getting dropped from this show after so many years despite adding a tangible model railway benefit to the show in terms of demonstration of skills, answering questions and showing off models.  Yet they are able to offer so many preservation societies space who offer nothing of the sort.

Very strange when all of the other BRM shows are completely different on that front.

I did look into this yesterday and was advised that, being oversubscribed with trade stand requirements, there was insufficient space remaining for some societies.
