It makes a big improvement and adds a touch more realism. Great work. Here is a picture of the Peckett, I’m going for a work stained but ‘kept clean’ finish. Coal loads added to my MDVs 3. Some more signage added around the layout. I'm currently just modifying the fiddle yard to be more user friendly, I’ll share updates soon! Thanks very much Karl, the inspiration came from piecing together bits of inspiration from different Scottish distilleries I researched and it seemed to turn out well in the end. I had the layout out the other night for a play (Trying out my new AS Manor, not sure many of those made it to any Scottish whisky distilleries though lol) I got a few fresh photos, nothings changed much from the last ones though, probably just more dust! Northmoor MPD Posted October 22, 2023 Author Share Posted October 22, 2023 (edited) Evening everyone, It’s been a few months since I’ve posted any updates, the only real change has been the addition of some point levers, such an obvious thing that was missing but something I completely overlooked, situation now rectified 😄 I’ve also received Hornby’s new 2MT locomotive which has been weathered and details now added. I like the train on the overbridge and the use of a double slip, I got one of those I've never found a use for! I had the layout out last night to check things over and tweak a few bits. I grabbed a few photos before packing it away again. 1. The layout fully set up. 2. Scottish allocated 3F ‘47536’ fresh from St Rollox works on a running in trip to the Distillery to pick up some wagons. 3. J72 ‘68733’ leaving the distillery with a wagon full of filled casks, over the newly lowered bridge. SouthernBlue80s Posted April 21 Share Posted April 21 What I think is So very well done is the depth of field in such as small space, which is very hard to achieve, The river, then a step up to the main track, then a step up to the embankment and trees then a step up to the higher line then a step up to the backscene.
