Derekl
I have used PVA which seems to work.
brossard
I think a good choice would be a multi purpose household glue. Another choice would be spray adhesive, but overspray can be a nuisance. John Edited June 12, 2023 by brossard
Bernard Lamb
Why use glue? The usual solvents seem to work quite well. Capillary action allows the solvent to flow to all areas if you just put it on the edges using a fairly small brush. Bernard
RMweb Gold Gilbert Posted June 12, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 12, 2023 60 second superglue has been recommended to me for Styrene to MDF https://www.amazon.co.uk/Loctite-Universal-Repositionable-non-porous-materials/dp/B015JPV482/ref=asc_df_B015JPV482/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=231999013088&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10805594574685687986&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045614&hvtargid=pla-422195351025&psc=1

I bought some as well - have not used it yet for its intended purpose but has proved very useful for many other jobs - especially where positioning is required. BachelorBoy
Boomer reckons you should varnish the wood first, and then use superglue

Steamport Southport
Or Unibond contact adhesive. Certainly works with BSL and similar kits that you need to glue wood, plastic and metal together (even aluminium). Recommended by Larry Goddard on here a few years ago. RMweb Premium PeterStiles Posted June 12, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 12, 2023 Another vote for UHU from me, but it is *so* stringy I have to always do a String Location & Removal exercise.
RMweb Gold ikcdab Posted June 12, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 12, 2023 Why use glue? Strong double sided tape works well.
