RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted December 26, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 26, 2023 No fighting about Modelmasters on here please Fox don't yet do the whole range of GWR name plates. Narrow Planet do any number you fancy - and great service too. But not common GWR class names. So who else does name plates in 4mm please? Looking for some Saints names in advance of someone making them in OO RTR soon........... (Dapol/Heljan/Accurascale) Regards,

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted December 26, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 26, 2023 247 do Etched stuff and maybe will extend the range? Railtech is the up and coming supplier but I don't think etches are on their range yet? Could Peco adopt the the wider MM Range rather than just those Decals for Wagons and Vans? It's the ex MM range that is just not available and that is huge loss. Phil
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted December 26, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2023 247 is my go to where possible now for loco names, along with Narrow Planet for loco numbers. Thankfully I have already got most of the named locos I need and was already using narrow planet, so the loss of Modelmasters is not effecting me too much 1
Craigw
Fox will do plates to commission if needed. I had them do Durban (City class) and Mendip (Duke class) for me a few years ago. Regards, Craig W
RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted December 26, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2023 247 did lovely ficticious nameplates for me. 'City of Lisburn" and 'Uncle Bert".

Phil Railtec do very nice sets of 3D transfers for unnamed locos but not for named locos (yet?). https://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=2771 Usual disclaimer. 2
Coach bogie
The Kings Cross range is still available though you have to cut them out. 41 Saints listed. http://www.gcrsociety.co.uk/kingscrossplates.html Mike Wiltshire 1 1
Steamport Southport
Also worth looking at Silver Tay. Not much GWR at the moment, but some and they might have one you are looking for that isn't available elsewhere. https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/silvertaymodels Keep searching on eBay. Sometimes nameplates from long forgotten manufacturers such as Kings Cross, LFC, CGW, etc. appear. Picked up a few at exhibitions as well for literally pennies.
