This "black n'white with a touch of colour" can get addictive.

Now look what you've started, Peter.

Network Rail's New Measurement Train led by 43014 'The Railway Observer' approaches Hebden Bridge with 1Q36, 11:10 Heaton T&RSMD to Derby RTC on 22nd June 2015.

Wonder what's in the orange box?

I'll see your orange box and raise you some red bogie hoppers.

Russ, your picture of the Cl.66 and hoppers works well. My container photo is too "contrived".

I wouldn't have said so Peter.  This is only a bit of fun really, but it's a useful exercise to get one thinking about what might work well with B&W and with a colour pop.

In my view, my image would have worked better if the hoppers were a larger element in the photo.  Unfortunately that day was misty with constant drizzle so the image was not as crisp as I would have liked and cropping to improve the composition would have resulted in too grainy an end result.

Well done to Turbo Tim and Porcy Mane.

Yes, Starcross station is in the middle of the picture across the River Exe.

Viewed from a Paignton - Exmouth Cl.143.

I'm going to become a local sometime in the next couple of months (buying and selling permitting). House hunting starting in ernest this weekend.

I.have to say that I did miss Stationmaster's post too. A bit too subtle when you've be up since crack of sparrow.
