Afternoon all.

Our flight from Gatwick was delayed 15 minutes due to lack of crew (their previous flight was delayed) but we arrived in Milan 5 minutes early. 32C and sunny here. It may get warmer  though the instructions for our trip on Wednesday are to wear sensible shoes and warm clothing. I shall definitely take my hat.

Tony

Enjoy yourselves and post if and when you can . ..

Aren't estate agents #uckwits I offered him the door twice he wanted 24 weeks to sell this house I said if you need all that time you can't be any good

and I don't want to lose out on a flat because of your ineptitude I got it to 12 weeks, only Her could have found this #ick #ead the photo's were rubbish they are

sending someone else in an hour to re do them I suppose his appearance scruffy in an ill fitting suit should have told me something and he had bad breath PAH :bad:

I better have a look in the freezer to see what is there or it will be "burger ding" for dinner tonight I can't be arsed to cook tonight.

I got bored this afternoon I went down to Howdens and got a new kitchen plan for the new place if I get it, if and when I do move in I can crack on and destroy the one

that's there have this delivered the following day fun fun fun .

Estate agents are not so daft as you may think. He is just trying to make a deal which gives him the best chance of picking up a commission - as quickly as possible.

Some agents' photos are unbelievably bad. Do they really think that we want to look at an Emin-style unmade bed? One large chain is particularly bad for this.

Don't know where you are and your local property market. But there is always a range of estate agents. Some specialise in low-end, some high-end and some the middle. Very important to chose the right agent for your property. You may well get the best service from the agent that is selling the flat to you. He/she has an interest ( a double interest even) in making it work.

The sparky has left and the electrickey in the shed is now in a much better state.   All the now redundant 3 phase outlets can now have 240v sockets fitted to them, using the previous wiring.  This gives me much more flexibility than the previous set up and the various extension leads can be put away.  the pool pump/filter is running a lot better on the full voltage.  I will now be able to plug the layout in using it's proper lead that drops down from the ceiling.   This whole saga came to light when I found myself having to use a 60W iron to solder small leads where I would have normally used a 15W one. The trains also ran very slowly so I eventually tested the supply and found that they were only getting 140 volts.    The bill was very good as well.

Jamie.

It might be an idea to use just one phase in the shed, a different phase for the pool and a third for something else, as there is still the potential for TWO phase voltage to be present between circuits on different phases. In the UK this would be 415 volts and is certainly more lethal than 230 volts. If you must use two phases, try using different phases at each end of the shed, with at least a minimum of 8 feet between sockets on different phases.

- "It could be that you are diabetic." Hence I've got to have a fasting blood test on Thursday

According to Aditi at her diabetic reviews there are always questions about feet.

My GP was concerned about my fasting blood sugar levels but the next stage glucose tolerance test suggested I wasn’t but I still get a review annually.

The swab that was taken last Thursday showed that the particular bugs should have been taken care of by them but they haven't.

Dave, I am not a physician, (and nor have I played on on TV), but my uneducated mind suggests that some kind of minor surgical intervention would have helped long before things got to this point. I hope you can get it sorted soon.

If indeed your blood glucose does need monitoring, then whether the toe was a catalyst for that diagnosis or not, it is something that needs to be done either way. Blaming poor antibacterial performance on hypothetical diabetes feels like a cop out to me* when alternative therapies might have been quicker and more effective anyway.

The testing of the toes is a standard thing for diabetics - the purpose being to establish if there has been any loss of feeling in the toe which would be an early indicator of a circulatory problem.   Hence at our surgery we get an annual toe tickling as part of Sister Diabolical's check up process.

G'night all
