The picture file names are obvious as well. EDIT: I spent most of my mornings during my University days on that platform. During that time there were three versions of coaches - the Edwardian slam door wooden stock, stainless steel stock from the northside and the first generation EMUs. The platform height was raised as well. Edited October 23, 2019 by Ozexpatriate 13 4

I put a hold on my mail. I expect to come home with as many as two of the standard tubs used by the USPS. Having made it to the post office I returned with my spoils from 11 delivery days (less than two weeks). It weighed in at about 30 lbs / 13 kg. It would have fit in one tub, but a bit much for the tray. 5 6
Robert
Morning All, It is rather mild again this morning - but appears to be quite clear. I think it should be quite a nice day. Popular Post chrisf
Good morning one and all For a tantalising moment yesterday I thought that the search for the missing frets was over. I found an envelope containing some etches from a different source which I remembered being near the ones I’ve been looking for. They aren’t now. I also found a couple of CPL etched coach sides. These are now in a safe place – famous last words! – and I am calling off the search for the frets that I actually want to find until the weekend. I am not in the mood and have better things to do! BlackRat, many thanks for your helpful words. If you did but know it, a while back I invested in a stack of Really Useful boxes from Colemans the stationer, each labelled with self-adhesive labels to remind me what is supposed to be in them. They are good value and a handy size for all the bits and pieces needed for a project. Yes, I have checked and the missing frets are not with the other parts belonging to the projects in question. That would have been too simple. I thought I was going to Stevenage on Thursday but on an impulse I checked the Stevenage Locomotive Society website and no meeting is listed. It frees me up to go to a meeting of “LGBT and Faith”, at which I have not shown my face for a few months, but leaves me wondering why I thought there was an SLS meeting this week as well as next. Poorly Pal will have to wait a week for his stir fried chicken and bold selection of vegetables. My bedside lamp has developed a fault. Finding a decent replacement is going to be fun. Best wishes to all Chris 2 1 1

RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted October 23, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted October 23, 2019 I thought California.. https://www.thebeachguide.co.uk/south-east-england/norfolk/california.htm Mooring Awl, Inner Temple Hare, First half of night B*****y Awful attempts to sleep, second half of night too good sleep, woke up 1/2 hour late, running around like a blue bottomed fly to get ready. Ben the I don't like the dark Collie refused to go out, so that gained me some time back. It was however a very chilly cloudless sky, it was the feavy hog that was reducing the vision.. Luckily I didn't come across any of those drivers that think if there is a hint of fog you have to drive at less than 30mph as the further I got from the coast the thinner the fog became. Got to the road works to find the lights were out at the cross roads, the cars going down the main road thought that if the lights are out they should do about 50 through the non working lights in a 30 limit. This made it interesting trying to cross the main road in a slow accelerating landrover. Then I got to the the other end of the street where they started digging for this gas line some months ago... To find another set of lights, they were digging it up again, which can't be easy as they laid a thick layer of concrete on top of the pipeline.. The Major system is trundelling along reasonable nicely, I already know I'll have to re run 2 sections, for some reason the calibrator supplying the test signals decided to trip out mid section and then run normally for the rest of the section most odd.. Time to .. wander around the net, 30 minutes till the next knob turn.. 2 1

Anyway good morning all from a wet place. However the log burner was relit yesterday and the room us nice and warm. The rest of the house is gradually warming up. Not a lot on the agenda today apart from feeding the chickens. I might even go and do some work in the woodshed as we have another 4 stears of timber arriving either today or tomorrow. I took awl the exams so I am fully quawlified Morning all from the boring borough. Hoping today will be a better day. So far not. My useless excuse for a GP surgery strikes again. Signed up (again) for their online system. This is the third one in 5 years. They couldn't be arsed to migrate their existing patients so everyone must start over again. Registered, hit the link to practice button and voila it said I wasn't registered at the practice. Called them. "Oh there is a problem with it, you have to come in and fill out a form and it takes 6 weeks to process". WTAF!! Tried booking an appointment face to face. "Oh our schedule is full and we can't take any more appointments until the new doctor rota has been completed". When will that be? "Next Week, but you can book on the day for one of the limited appointments". Tried that on Monday, Tuesday, and this morning. None have been issued at all this week as they are short staffed. Tempted to just Uber down to the urgent care @ Queen Elizabeth. Meanwhile the pain in my knee grows and my supply of Naproxin dwindles. Bunch of useless tw@waffles. Enjoy the day. RMweb Gold Kingzance Posted October 23, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 23, 2019 Good afternoon from a sunny NEHerts, Yesterday’s scheduled tasks were satisfactorily completed, even if the bloodsucker turned out to be sleepy/incompetent/didn’t like me/didn’t want to be doing the job and my left arm displays plenty of evidence to support that. I tried to book a subsequent GP appointment but none available with the one who has been dealing with me for a while now, maybe some will be released at the end of the week. Cribbage was a good evening, won many more hands than I/we lost. SWMBO’s motor delivered to local garage for various works inc MoT and service, back late afternoon. Measured up No1 grandson’s bedroom to see if he can get a new Ikea wardrobe where his Mum wants it - yes but with difficulty that only can be resolved by yours truly so next week, when they are all on the Isle of Wight, I shall be busy. At least that is a reason not to spend several days with sister-in-law who always shouts down anyone else in conversation. I may be called upon to transport SWMBO to the preferred supermarket, although we have food for tonight already in the refrigerator - tagliatelle with venison meatballs and a creamy mushroom sauce. Postman has just delivered the magnetic clamps ordered on Monday from Smart Models - good service all round and another excuse for not muddling removed. Awl hail the ailers and speedy recoveries. 17

The Lurker
Greetings all from LBG where the sun has just come out although rain is promised around about the time for the journey home. Back still aches. Year end still trundles on. I've not been a medical student but I do remember the same silliness applying to the dissection of a sprat during Biology O Level. I had very carefully dissected the sprat as instructed, lifting up the operculum to reveal gills etc when the guy who sat next to me said "Lurker" (we knew each other by surnames as it was a boys' school) "you're not doing it right" and proceeded to pick it up and throw across the classroom in the vague direction of the teacher, who as far as I recall never noticed. And I think I would have remembered; Honey Monster was fond of a laugh but if you went too far would punish you in a way that amused the rest of the class. His main one was to grab your hair and tell you stand up off your stool. You would then be instructed to "rotate" which of course ever tightened the hair. His methods would never be accepted today but he was generally loved (as I said, he liked a laugh) and I found him an inspiring teacher, and the reason I chose to do Biology A level (for which he didn't teach me!) 16
