Don't think anyone would have known about the 3s if you hadn't told us Paul, excellent modelling.

Possibly even a cunning stunt,

Best possible result with the numerals. Marvellous model.

With my typing propensity for inadvertant Spoonerism's, then I would never tackle the comment above!

Lovely model, Paul. Really does capture the essence of the prototype, though I've only ever seen photos of this class.

Cheers

The hole is round the other side.

That is absolutely gorgeous!

Did you think about printing your own 3s, or would that have meant too many specialist printer cartridges?

Cheers

J

The thought crossed my mind then I realised how much of a faff it would be...

Really superb engine Paul! Are you going to let it have a run out at the Depot?

Might just have to, when no one's looking of course.

A very neat build and a great prototype. Suits the layout very well.

What's the origin of the crew, I don't think I recognize them?

The crew is from Andrew Stadden, 'Edwardian Enginemen' (first and eighth from the left). I will have got these before the crews with separate heads and arms were available, I had them already painted and they looked right so put them in.

That is a superb piece of work Paul and looks good up on Rosedale. It runs like a sewing machine on the rolling road and looks absolutely beautiful! What's to say that it couldn't have gone up to the tops? I know that getting an engine up the incline was a big job, but I'm not sure all the records are complete and a bit of modellers licence is not a bad thing. I'm biased and just preparing the ground for a J7 and Darlington Class 59 on my Blakey Rigg layout!!
