298
This is a T-shirt that my Wife brought for our son a couple of weeks ago, and since then, we haven't been able to decide who the driver on the left is (the other two are obviously Hamilton and Button)...: I don't think you can read alot into the advertising on their suits as they and the helmets seem a bit ficticious, and are probably a copyright and royalty dodge by the manufacturers. Any ideas...?
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted August 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 2, 2011 Either Vettel (as they are the last 3 champions) or Schumacher. Maybe.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 2, 2011 Either Vettel (as they are the last 3 champions) or Schumacher. I'd go with Schumey. Check the eyes.

trisonic
He was Britsih Champion in Go-Karts ("Britain" Class) in the early eighties!!!!! Best, Pete.
RMweb Premium mezzoman253 Posted August 2, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 2, 2011 Schumacher, notice the small mole on his left top lip. I think the helmet colours are from a previous season. Certainly Hamilton used to have one with those colours. Rob
Steve K
... although, of course, Schumacher still has the red helmet. And a light-coloured overall. I'd also definitely say it was him on the left.

298
Thanks for all the replies, the stranger ones are good but I think i'll go with the idea that it's Michael Schumacher.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 2, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 2, 2011 Noel Edmunds....well he used to be into mini racing (got his pic & autograph years ago at the Peterborough Showground). He certainly tried some senior forms of motorsport, and owned, possibly still does, an iconic Ford GT40. We last saw him in the small hours at Le Mans (1997?) where he was helping the pitcrew of a particular team.
trisonic
I saw him in the dark blue GT40 a couple of years ago. His first marriage was to a mutual friend. Another Essex Boy - I'm sorry to say. Bought up in Gidea Park went to Brentwood School. Was that the late Steve O'Rourke's car, Ian? Best, Pete.
gordon s
Shades of Jackie Stewart for me.....
Mucky Duck
I'd go with it being Schumacher even if I think it resembles Adrian Sutil – and you really can't go by their helmets, as Button's looks exactly like Hamilton's, which is clearly wrong. RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 3, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 3, 2011 Panoz..? Could well have been - I think it was an LMP car, rather than GT or GTS classes of that era.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted August 3, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 3, 2011 I saw him in the dark blue GT40 a couple of years ago. His first marriage was to a mutual friend. Another Essex Boy - I'm sorry to say. Bought up in Gidea Park went to Brentwood School. Was that the late Steve O'Rourke's car, Ian? I think the lady was called Gill? Not every marriage survives that level of public acclaim and success. Can't be sure re the team he was with. Panoz has been suggested, and that is the right era, certainly. They made a wonderful noise with their Ford V8 - even if convention said it was at the wrong end of the car!
trisonic
Ian, Gill pronounced Jill (which happened to be the name of our mutual friend). Does this car ring any bells: Sorry can't seem to add any photos, look up EMKA/EMI Le Mans car. Best, Pete.
