Recommended Posts

Hi N gauge version done as a Shapeway moulding and Worsley Works has a 3mm etch available- which makes up well and using a Triang TT roof loos the part - albeit in bare brass and not yet finished, love the other woman in the pics above

Thanks

Robert

Hello all, I`m not a modeller but I needed to know the colour of "Caroline" as I have built onto a plate layer`s trolley to make it look like a Wickham Trolley!  I was told it was a malachite but it isn`t and it was here and only here that I saw it was "Opal Green".  I managed to find a supplier and have ordered some.  About ten years ago I spent a day on Caroline with my Engineers and took lots of photographs and video, I will post some here for you.

The blue colour I painted the panels, and a coat of varnish, gave me a very close match but the varnish always showed streaks, no matter how long I stirred it.  Now I can paint over this mess...

Many thanks, Mo`

It's now been painted BR green

It was supposed to be BR SR EMU green when it was rebuilt in 2009, but apparently there was a c*ckup with the paint spec and it ended up in Opal green. It was repainted into a "proper" shade about 4-5 years ago.

Slightly off topic but well done on being the most viewed video news on the BBC today!

shame they called you ‘very sad’ but I suppose that’s your wife’s doing!
