But well balanced too, when you're dead its always Someone Elses Problem!

All you have to do is remember to leave some sort of Will, either to set any surviving relatives at each others throat for decades to come or to keep your hard earned "estate" out of the hands of the Government...

I have completed a will and arranged a cremation after I die (no funeral). Some items I have distributed to my friends and relatives rather than have the 'house clearance' vultures get their hands on it.

Reg Shoe?

No, no, he was just a zombie, on the side of the forces of law and order at that, one of the good guys.  Zombies feature regularly in my nightmares and hypnopomnic hallucinations, I'm used to them, glad to see these familiar old friends in fact as it means the insides of my eyelids are not going to project anything worse at me.  Zombies are dead, just haven't realised it yet and as their brains are deprived of freshly pumped blood are unlikely to.  According to Gospel, Jesus was dead and then came back to life, I find really scary...

The Romans  had strict and sensible laws regarding disposal of the dead and I'm pretty sure Jesus was breaking several of them.  When I'm dead, I intend to do absolutely nothing about the situation, being firmly of the opinion that dead people should stay properly dead and no mucking about.  I'm sure somebody will be along to deal with me eventually, and ensure that I am suitably disposed of in a way consistent with public health and decency, and if not it probably means that I've been offed in a nuclear attack or asteroid strike or something and everyone else is brown bread as well, in which case it won't matter.

And I for one welcome our new cockroach overloads and pledge to serve them in any way they see fit...

Debatable that he would have been actually dead as he wasn't up there long enough.

Crucifixion was a very long drawn out death. They were usually up there for weeks until they rotted like they were still doing in Britain in the Middle Ages. He was taken down almost immediately.

According to the Gospel of Mark, he endured the torment of crucifixion from the third hour (between approximately 9 a.m. and noon), until his death at the ninth hour, corresponding to about 3 p.m.

People are strapped up longer than that in certain clubs in Camden!

Not trying to start a religious debate, just that I know a lot about Ancient History and part of my degree was about death rituals.

I bow to your knowledge about practices in certain Camden clubs...

(whilst maintaining a Covid safe distance)

Probably all gone now. Replaced by Hipster juice bars and trendy shops.

North London was great a few years. Loads of decent boozers and clubs full of old punks, metalheads, alternative types, etc. Now all foreigners and rich types (some both).

Used to love sitting by the canal and having a few pints. I doubt many of us could afford a flat around there now, but I knew quite a few people with them which was handy for crashing in when going to gigs in London.

Pardon the unintentional pun and sorry to be overly sensitive, but if it is for real, even after this length of time, it's in inappropriate 'bad taste' to use or advertise based on a disaster that cost over 1500 lives.

Don't forget to get the lawyer to mention the "Trust Funds" in the Turks and Caicos islands. But do forget to mention the account numbers.

Did you study in Hell, Hull or Halifax?

SACOS!

School Of Ancient Civilizations and Oriental Studies!

Part of The University Of Liverpool, but it was a separate school when I was there many moons ago.

Now the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology

https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/archaeology-classics-and-egyptology/

These are virtually the same modules I did, you pick and choose eight subjects per year and after the first year you tend to specialise more towards one main subject. There was a lot less "Classics" when I did it as that was a different subject.

Seems interesting, but then you end up shovelling sand in the desert and digging up Roman roads in torrential downpours in Wales!

Forgotten most of it on purpose.

I used to date an archaeologist. She was a lovely girl but her career was in ruins.

My daughter, a very long time ago switched after two terms, from her first subject choice, to archaeology, at Durham Uni.  She eventually had to do a practical, which turned out to be very hot and sandy, many miles up the river Nile.   It was also run by an ancient "Woman in Tweeds" style of person.  She did get her degree, but has never spoken of it since!     🙊

Probably trying to get more customers for Royal Liverpool University Hospital, for tropical and infectious diseases.

Thread drift, don't you just love it? So lets drift back, this was on a motel room door at a place that I overnighted:

But what if you want to check out earlier?  🤪

Just a thought. Was that the Motel California?
