RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted August 22, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 22, 2015 And from the same seller this mint condition Lima Warship for *cough* £38.99 - I hadn't appreciated that when they were mint they had one wheelset different from t'others http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMA-OO-GAUGE-DRAGON-BR-BLUE-CLASS-42-WARSHIP-DIESEL-LOCOMOTIVE-D814-/321785106290?hash=item4aebe30f72
Ruffnut Thorston
Bit dubious about its authenticity. It's lettered GWR, but the axleboxes say BR. Or is it ex Barry Railway? Verry Interesting.... The couplings look like replacements as well... Obviously the base model is the Hornby 4-wheel coach, though these are usually found on LWB Brake Van chassis (possibly someone salvaged the BV chassis and subsituted a Cattle wagon (etc...) chassis. (A shame that Hornby don't use this type of chassis for the Railroad LWB open wagons....it would help a little! ) I think the best bit of the listing is the user-name! affordabletrainandgifts Really affordable this one! (A bit like "affordable" housing? )

I purchased a Bachmann Class 45 some years ago and put it in the cupboard unopened. A few years later, I took it out and spotted that I had an oddball wheel on it, a slightly smaller diameter! Mad_Hatter
Anyone thinking they might get a Pocket Money Kit for a bargain price might be a teeny bit disappointed..... And some mugins paid £5.00 for them, when you can download the instructions for free from the web site, yes they will be for the 7mm kits but the instructions will be the same. I suppose one might be able to salvage the coupling and wheels, but......... Edited August 24, 2015 by Il Grifone

ThaneofFife
its just as well this section has been granted approval from up top. i couldnt imagine such whining about what joe bloggs is selling on ebay being tolerated on the other sections. not sure if the intention is purely philanthropic ie; to forewarn other fellow members of total obscene rip offs (that everyone can choose to avoid if they so wish) or whether its for the craic of taking adverts apart based on asking price description or photo etc........just on observation, it certainly seems to rattle a few cages though judging by the comments. Jub45565
I think most people just do if for comedy value when coming across the sublime & rediculous. I dont think there is anything to read into it, fair play to the sellers if they can get money for them :-)
