It says that both condition and running are 4 out of 5. Well if condition is 4 I would hate to have to get it to run!

Looks like someone started a 44 conversion then gave up!

I think there 's a decimal point wrong there somewhere.....

When I looked last week, I do not remeber a pair being mentioned in the text , even so £31 per wagon is still daft !!

Starting price was £20 so it is the bidders and not the seller who are mad!

The question is, if any of you have one of these, do you:

A. Keep it and run it on your layout.

B. Hide it away hoping that the 'value' will continue to climb.

C. Get it on eBay quick with a BIN price of £925.00 whilst there are a couple of bidders who were close but no cigar and still wound up. Then laugh your ass off when the bubble bursts and you can buy one for £80.

The ridiculous thing is that the London Transport Museum has everything at R.R.P. then after a certain time clears the stock at knock down prices. A prime example was the Heljan Metropolitan Bo-Bo. They disposed of that particular model for £35 each. They were sold out within an hour and surprise, surprise they appeared on e-bay a day or two later at 3 to 4 times that price. Its worth keeping an eye on the LTM shop for clearance sales but you have to be quick to bag a bargain.

A lot of brass kits coming out of the woodwork. There's a Chivers Finelines LNER 52' CCT kit for £84.50. I know quite a few railway modellers, none of whom could justify that expense.

Everything has gone daft lately, I have seen plenty of plastic 4 wheel open wagon kits hitting £30.

I got £40 for an Ian Kirk GWR Monster recently.......

If I order 500 (50 batches) would he have to join AA?

Edit - just noticed he only has 3 batches left with three sold - must have been a belter of a party.

Cheers

Well he would be having a party, if he paid the same price as Deviousweegee he's just made about £650 for ten minutes work!

I fear, if Mr Hammant or Mr Morgan were alive today they would have a fit.

- Richard.

So they're Hammant and Morgan, but home made,

and they're not sure who the maker is?????

And the brand is listed as Hornby.

Presumably, along with H&M, put there to show up when people use these words  in an eBay search.
