I just know that there is an RMWebber out there who has been waiting for this opportunity all his life - at this price!

what an incredible item - Jouef did pick some odd (for a French firm IMHO) prototype to model

I love the way the word Diesel is in inverted comma's on the box - has a variety of interpretations !

French ebay has some quite unexpected items on it. On the day that the NRM Compound was announced, there was what appeared to be most of a painted OO whitemetal kit for one, complete with motor and chassis. And the previous day I'd seen two Tri-ang Dock Authority motor bogies 4-wheel shunters. Whether these products ever get caught in a UK search of the sort that RMWebbers use, I know not.

Very tempting, it's cheaper than the Dapol one and you don't have to wait for it to arrive from China. Would anyone notice the difference?

Much more worryingly I rather fancied one of these when they were still being made, luckily I resisted the urge at the time!

Nowhere for passengers to sit! But as a tram loco, one could postulate that somewhere the GWR had a street tramway there were strictly enforced local bye-laws requiring the loco be disguised to not frighten the horses. The style of the body suggests this would be an early 20th century replacement for an older tram loco, built on a pannier tank. It would need side sheets though. I can just see it trundling down Weymouth Quay.......

Nurse! The screens! wibble wibble wib.......

TIC - At the moment 8 bids from six people, so some people are taking it seriously.... :O

Something like it did exist!

There is a picture in 'Churchward Locomotives' by Brian Haresnape and AlecSwain, on page 103, that looks like it.

If you close your eyes that is!

Split my sides with this one:_

The GWR did this to some of there engines to use on the push pull trains to match the coaches. Also 2120 was fitted see page 97 part 2 A pictorial record of GREAT WESTERN ENGINES by J. H. Russell. Yes the colour is incorrect and too long as the prototype had shorter wheel base.

This one from Mr Costomuche would almost be reasonable if it was what it's claimed to be. However it's part of an Airfix/Dapol platform accessories kit in a merit box.

MERIT STATION ACCESSORIES BOXED ok

Knowing what he has paid for some of the stuff in his shop I think he might best be described as 'an ambitious entrepreneur'

I wonder why he never auctions his 'collectables'? Could it be that he wouldn't get anything like his 'buy it now' prices?

I think that is probably the case. Certainly he is one of a small group of dealers who tend to pay what I regard as ridiculously high prices at an auction I sometimes attend (hence recognising some of the stuff he has on Ebay) and I am not alone in wondering how folk like him manage to profit from some of their purchases (mind you the bloke who once outbid me on a box of various NuCast kits made a very handsome profit on Ebay).
