Just thought - better state that it is NOT DCC or DCC ready … wouldn’t want allegations of incorrectly describing it, would you?!

😉

Every locomotive is DCC ready, just depends on the amount of work required!

Oh, and how about this?

"Hornby Loft Find"

Current bidding at £10.50 with two days to go.

Either the loft was very leaky, or its been in a garden shed.

Of course, anyone with a hint of railway knowledge would call it a "Barry Scrapyard Find"...

That's got more rust on it than the Titanic.

I had a colleague, an electronics engineering genius, who always adamantly stated that "Artificial Intelligence" was at best a misnomer and at worst a cynical marketing ploy. He called it merely "pattern recognition" and it appears he was right.

I agree, certainly when it comes to actual practical applications of "AI", that's very much the case - we've used it for things like automatic metadata generation (i.e. "go through these 100,000 video clips and tag them by subject") and motion/face tracking ("pan the camera so the presenter is always on screen")

You've got to admire the gaul of someone who tries to sell something like that. Any normal human being would take one look at it and chuck it in the bin. Mind you it seems the old addage "fools and their money" still holds true since there are bidders. Amazingly.

The clockwork mech doesn't look too bad considering?

Want to buy a bit of 313?  You will need deep pockets and have to fight you way through the scrum:

£250 plus for some plastic labels stuck to a bit of metal that may or may not be from a Class 313? How could you be sure? It's the very definition of optimism.

They definitely from 313's, it is Arlington at Eastleigh who are scrapping them who are selling the bits.

Can't help thinking there is a lot of fake bids going in here with  no intention of paying.

I'll wait a few years until the buyers are desperate for cash and will take a tenner for them....

Well, at least D16 and the 2P have a wheel arrangement in common!

They've gone over to AI Ebay listing, with the AI trained only on the LNER Encyclopedia?

Just to be pedantic, D16 is Dapol's product number for this model, which is what is causing confusion on the viewer's part.

D16 - Class 2P 4-4-0 40568 in BR Lined Black

D16A - Class 2P 4-4-0 40567 in BR Lined Black

D16C - Class 2P 4-4-0 40569 in BR Lined Black

I would question any evidence of real intelligence, never mind trying to artificially replicate it...

Exactly.  There are no Asterix's in the posting!  Looks like he/she'd already Gotafix, and his brother Hadafix, though, if he/she reckons these too-far-gone toys, er, Canbefix?
