EBay madness

I went to my bank to use the ATM machine and it delivered four of the new plastic fivers. Now do I put them on e-bay or hang on to the couple of old ones and sell them when the time comes?

It all depends on the serial numbers, if they are AA01 then you might make a bit, but if not you might get £4 for each one.

Probably just a 'flash in the pan' like first day covers for stamps.

We had a first issue pound coin in a special card card display. This got damaged, so after several years it was worth precisely one pound, but devalued considerably in purchasing power from its initial value of course.

EDIT

Coin collectors are very fussy about condition. High prices are only likely for uncirculated notes. The Royal Mint already supplies special issues at a premium price....

Not bad, it stands at £870 bid for a £5 note. There are some funny people in the world :scratchhead:

  • RMweb Premium

And more from the same seller - ranging from £55 to £74.99 with varying postage rates

Note to seller - make your mind up.

Cheers,

Mick
