Seated (LtoR) are Laurie Adams, Noel Leaver, Mick Simpson and Edward Sissling.  Standing I do not know.

It has echoes of a shot that featured in the 2mm Handbook of Phil Kerr operating the central shop many years ago.

Laurie will no doubt be able to confirm, but I think that the chap standing on the left is Roger Jones.

Valour was often running with her front bogie off on the Saturday. Somehow Tim is able to defy the laws of physics and get his locos to stay on the track regardless.

Anyway, here is the man himself making adjustments to the permanent way. Which is what was at fault.

Engineering is 10% knowing which hammer to use and 90% where to hit it!

Very disappointed I couldn't make it, but another commitment I was asked to take on at the end of last year had to take priority.

Great event - could only attend Saturday but left feeling inspired and having had a good catch up with people.

A few challenge layout pics…with captions 😉

60 year old groves loco looking every bit the part on CF. The 2-6-2 and three others ran too but was too busy watching them and smiling to get anything on my phone. There’s a couple more pics on my Rydes vale post and the CF post.image.thumb.jpeg.61ff58bcbaaea57027598404914c66e3.jpeg

Some layouts were easier to photo than others. Mark Fielder even had a video of the real British Oak, complete with its yellow liveried Jinty.

Nice photos, Chris, thanks!   The orange on the Jinty is far too intense, it looks like a 1970s Laverda Jota.

It does need a repaint, I used Vallejo acrylics and the orange just didn't go on very well.  The black/grey I used on the rest of the loco went on very nicely.

Hi Jerry,

Do you have any photos of John Greenwood's entry that he couldn't bring as it wouldn't fit in the car with Wadebridge and Padstow? I know this will be no match compared to actually seeing it, but it would be good to see what John made of the rules.

Best Regards

Chris.

I didnt take many DJLC pictures either but here is Port Jubilee which I particularly liked. I intend to shamelessly rob ideas from this one - and move it several hundred miles south!!

Having made it safely back home (albeit late due to storms in Germany meaning we lost our path out of Heathrow) I thought I could contribute some of the photos I took at Derby.  It was well worth the trip (and the two year wait) with lots of inspiring modelling.

Come on guys!

This isn't the place for advertising exhibitions!

Pictures of 2mm layouts @ exhibitions only please....

I look forward to seeing some photos from the exhibition though (and not just of the cakes!).

The post does contain a picture of a 2mm layout and anyway, if the moderators felt it was a problem I'm sure they would let me know.

Nice to see a Minitrix Class 27 alive and kicking. I had one too in BR Blue (probably still do if I can remember where I put it).
