S.A.C Martin
It was great fun last night- even had the girlfriend helping me out! Couldn't get the "easy" one! But got the hard one, which took about four hours to put together as a puzzle. Well done to all who got the two together, that was tough!
RMweb Gold SouthernRegionSteam Posted December 29, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 29, 2009 I hope I don't demoralise you all, but I found Puzzle three easy - unique colouring on the layout meant I only had to look at one piece to get it. Puzzle four took me about 45mins until I worked out what layout it is about half way through. If it's any consolation, i'm not taking part (not my kind of rolling stock)

Jim49
Just finished No. 4 after about 2 hours (plus help(?) from the wife) No more like that please Andy, my eyes were bad enough before and I can't afford to go to Specsavers. No idea what the layouts were. Jim[/font]
Peter Kazmierczak
Have I missed today's questions? I was up into the early hours and I still didn't get that second layout. Put me off jig-saws for life. Anyway, I'm off to bed now as I need my beauty sleep..................
Andy Y
Apologies all, just got back from a very long day out! Seven people manage to get two correct answers on yesterday's puzzle, well done to Jonathan again! Moving on to something in keeping with the weather here this evening. Puzzle 5 Puzzle 6 I'll get back to anyone with answers during tomorrow.? ? ? :icon_wave:

Pinkmouse
What were the answers for yesterday Andy? Nice pics today, the puzzles were a bit simple, (I prefer the complicated ones!), but I have no idea of the locations, so I suppose that makes it harder. RMweb Gold Dagworth Posted December 29, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 29, 2009 For those who didn't get yesterday's, the two layouts were (hidden for anyone coming back to these later) Penhydd and Morfa Mawr Andi
Andy Y
Thanks Andi, In my haste to post last night's puzzles I'd omitted the answers for the puzzles that drove everyone mad on Monday night. As Andi says, the first one was Sparky's lovely Penhydd - http://www.rmweb.co....wimage&img=4646 and Trevor Hale's splendid Morfa Mawr - http://www.rmweb.co....927-morfa-mawr/ - I think these two models, both Welsh based, are at very top of the sleepy Welsh backwater genre. There's still the last couple of points up for grabs on last night's puzzles. Dunno what I did with the html editing last night but every post now seems to be in bold.? :icon_mutter:

Andy Y
Well, the last points from yesterday's have just gone! Jonathan makes it a hat-trick despite my attempts to take the puzzles away from his territory. ? The answers were as follows: Puzzle 5: Brian Daniels shot of Worting Jn - http://www.rmweb.co....dpost__p__50726 Puzzle 6: Rick Skateboard shot at Llangollen Goods Jn - http://www.rmweb.co....dpost__p__48948 Tonight's puzzles to follow after 8. Andy Y
All of the points have now gone for Day 4, there's a first! Well done to Mike Bellamy tonight who came in first, Jonathan has slightly increased his lead. Puzzle 7's answer was Colin Park's rather tasty Newhaven - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/6570-newhaven-harbour-c-1974/page__view__findpost__p__54950 - right up my street and purely 'cause it made a matching pair Puzzle 8's answer was Keyhaven in steam guise. buffalo
Just heard from Andy that I've bagged the last point for tonight, so feeling really pleased with myself Especially as I didn't start until after 21:30 and my knowledge of South-Eastern layouts was zero -- I've spent too many winter evenings on cold, draughty, bumpy, blue EMUs to have any desire to model them. In the end I had to resort to typing random station names into a google site-specific search to find the answer to the first one but, having seen it, it's a nice looking layout.
