blueeighties
Surely D2334 should have the cut-out for the shunter to stand on the front step? Regards, John Isherwood. Not sure John...I shall try and find some photos to investigate. Cheers.

blueeighties
So. After last weeks rush to get a pile of Dunrobin Castles out to long waiting customers, you would have thought there would be a break on the bench from class 37s. Er, no... Another 7 awaiting speaker fitting in the fuel tanks. DSC_0009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Weathered, sound fitted, nose ends repainted, and detailed 37380. DSC_0007 (2) by rothburyuk, on Flickr Weathered, sound fitted, nose converted, (these were skirted versions), class 37033. Nose mounted headlight still to receive a lens as internals just painted silver pre photograph. DSC_0004 (3) by rothburyuk, on Flickr Another repainted, nose modded 40145. Every time I do one of these, I get asked to do another! DSC_0010 (2) by rothburyuk, on Flickr DSC_0013 by rothburyuk, on Flickr A weathered Heljan 07. A few bits missing on this one, it's a trade job purely as a weathering exercise. DSC_0001 by rothburyuk, on Flickr DSC_0007 by rothburyuk, on Flickr DSC_0005 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Weathered Warship. DSC_0020 by rothburyuk, on Flickr DSC_0023 by rothburyuk, on Flickr A Dunrobin 37114. Or is it?.... DSC_0002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr DSC_0004 (2) by rothburyuk, on Flickr A customer order who never got back in touch..I thought it would be good to nab for my fleet, do be the beast that was 37111. However I missed the fact that Dunrobin was one of the few to have the black window surrounds extended onto the roof. Hey ho, out with the wet and dry and airbrush! DSC_0005 (2) by rothburyuk, on Flickr A weathered Dunrobin, straight out of the box, no detailing or sound. DSC_0017 by rothburyuk, on Flickr And the same for a Dapol NSE bubble. I have to say I haven't been overly impressed with this one.....windows glued in so hard the odd one has cracked, and a very poor body mounting system that results in unreliable light operation. dj_crisp
37114 is a beaut. I know what you're saying about the bubble... I have a 122 with similar issues and think I'll have to get the file out on the roof.
JCClark
Hi Lee Noted your comment about tightly glued windows on bubble car. I had same problem with a newer Bachmann 37 and a friend advised me to put body shell in a plastic bag and then in freezer for 20-30 minutes. Glazing popped out no problem and no cracks. Maybe teaching Granny to suck eggs but thought I would post in case anybody else was having glazing removal problems. John

blueeighties
Afternoon guys. As I seem to be manufacturing so many of them these days, I have decided to offer the working Scottish headlamps, as fitted to 37114, and others, available to purchase in kit form. I also do the class 26 version. All in 4mm. Drop me a pm if this is of interest to you.

Rosie Taylor
Just curious, but when you have so much on your desk at once, how do you keep track of which is for which customer (for example, multiples of the same model)? Amazing work btw, although it makes me look at my own detailing attempts and sigh...

blueeighties
Housekeeping. Pulling the extractor out, stripping and cleaning all of the accumulated overspray. A truly yacky job.
