I am gutted and very angry with myself as a lot of time and hard work went in to building this layout. I may re visit the loft in the future and see if i can salvage anything from the layout and maybe rebuild but for now It is finished with.if anyone would like to buy any of my locos or buildings just give me a shout. I will also be leaving the euro partnership so would like to take this opportunity to say sorry to all the members and Thanks for letting me join. We all have frustrating days (maybe not to hammer level) but sometimes it is best to just take a break for a while and come back to whatever was annoying later in a different frame of mind. If you give up then you may well live to regret it so why not keep a few favourites, downsize slightly (e.g. Double track, couple of sidings, etc) and just get back to running a few trains round for a bit before thinking about where you want the layout to go. A clean slate may be just what you need, try something different, concentrate on what you like (e.g. Forget third rail if it does your nut in) and get the love back. Your modelling Is coming on in leaps and bounds, especially scratchbuilding. Give steam a go, it's much more interesting Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Such a tragedy puts railway modelling in perspective. Even though, in my opinion, it's the best hobby, it is after all, just a hobby. Very sorry to see you leaving, as you were up there with the best of them for modelling skill and fantastic, inspiring videos. My condolences to you and your family. Just looked on your Youtube account, there are some seriously messed up people out there. My advice? They won't stop because they are just idiots, so I would just delete the videos and account so that they don't have an opportunity to write such hurtful comments.
