Don't suppose you could explain or PM me on how to replace the couplings with NEM pockets? Cheers, John Hi John All i did was cut away the old couplings and just glued the NEM couplings on top of the bogie plate. You could glue below as well.
hybridangel77
Hi all Well today i have been busy all day cutting the wood for the town scene. Below are the before and after photos although the woodwork is not finished yet. The shelves will not be staying there as they will be fitted to the underneath of the layout.
hybridangel77
I once again ordered some more sheets of 12mm MDF today to collect in the morning to be able to build the scenic fiddle yard. I will be adding a one foot section beside the mainline and having around a four inch gap between as i want to add a ditch with a small dyke running through it.

Doughnut
Top stuff as usual Terry. The footbridge name is brilliant. That RF Distribution 33 is a rare bird. Bet you were pleased to get that, not seen one before. Dave

Bet you were pleased to get that, not seen one before. Dave Thanks Dave....yeah i like the station name on the bridge and i am unsure whether to paint the letters and weather them with running dirt lines below. The class 33 was a brilliant find and have wanted one for ages but like you have never seen one before. Im off to Railex model rail exhibition now to see if i can pick up another bargain. hybridangel77
Looking forward to seeing the town scene coming along now, any more thoughts on whther you will go completely 80's/90's yet Terry? Well i am still in two minds on whether to go 80's or do both. I never run the modern stuff much and are now selling my pendolino and MPV windhoff so it looks as tho im going 80's. I will keep some of my modern locos like the hard to come by ones like the class 66 shanks etc.
hybridangel77
FOR SALE.... Hi all I have decided to yet again sell a few more locos and want to give you all first refusal before they go on Evilbay. First up is my Bachmann MPV Windhoff which has hardly ever been run and has been weathered by myself and will come with a Bachmann 21 pin decoder fitted...it also comes in the original box which is in mint condition. I am looking for around £100 for this model Edited May 23, 2015 by hybridangel77
hybridangel77
FOR SALE.... Also on the sales list is my Hornby Pendolino...it is the standard four car version and is in mint condition and comes DCC fitted. It runs smoothly in both directions and it has only been run a few times in it's life. It does not come in a box as it was part of a train set but will be packed well for delivery. I have not put a price on this model as i am not sure what it's worth so am looking for offers. Edited May 23, 2015 by hybridangel77
WCML100
I think maybe the layout would possibly improve with a tighter era scale. I have dropped you a pm regarding the above.

hybridangel77
Have you got the selling "bugg" Terry... It's not quite a bug but i am just thinking of only running locos from the 80's/90's as i hardly ever run my more modern stuff so if i sell some i can get more stuff from the 80's if you know what i mean. hybridangel77
Hi all Yet another update...today i think i have now completed most of the woodwork for the scenic fiddle yard. I have only roughly laid the track to see what it will look like and are still playing around with it as i would like to add two carriage sidings and three loco/dmu sidings with a couple of fueling points and a few little yard buildings at the end. I also would like to add a small wooden carriage shed if there is room and build it to look as tho it is very old and dilapidated and has never been looked after. The cut out section between the sidings and the mainline will be a small stream/dyke with culverts at both end and a couple of mini footbridges. The outer edge of the siding will be overgrown hillside all the way up to where the mainlines meet by the signal box. I am at the planning stage so if anyone has any good ideas or suggestions i would love to hear of them.
hybridangel77
Hi all Today i started shaping up the hillside down beside the scenic fiddle yard. Still lots to do yet but hopefully you get the idea. I am waiting for an order to arrive for some more points and flexi track as well as lots of other things like the signal box interior so i can fix that in place and i am also waiting on a new loco to arrive which has been on my wish list for a long time.
