Stan, Exhibition Manager here - just a quick update with news of our in-show seminars.

In addition to our very popular general DCC seminars presented by Andy & Fiona from DCC Supplies Ltd, this year we are pleased to announce that Paul Chetter will be present to conduct seminars specifically on DCC sound projects. Additionally he will also ne holding advice clinics on this subject on his stand.

The seminars we run are very restricted in terms of numbers which makes the experience more interactive for the participants. If you would like to book a place on either seminar please let me know by emailing exhibitionmanager@perthmrc.com.  The seminars generally take around 1 - 11/2 hours

First come first served on the booking front AND they are free of charge!

This is set to be our biggest show yet with around 100 stands. Looking forward to seeing you all there! www.perthmrc.com

Looks like I will be attending, as I've never been to this venue before

I will make myself known to the organisers on the first day, so I can find out the arrangements for bringing my layout to the 2014 event

I've started to fill the 2015 show too. 2014 guest layouts are almost fully booked already! Anyone who would like to offer a layout can also email me details to exhibitionmanager@perthmrc.com

We are especially interested in layouts new to the exhibition circuit in Scotland and would like to see some layouts built by youngsters. Layouts are accepted subject to providing a quality and balanced show.

It would be nice to have at least one P4 layout - once again, you don't appear to be having any this year.

DT

Hi there,

We are still actively seeking something suitable. Do you have any suggestions from the Scottish area? We do have Burntisland booked for 2014.

Regards,

Stan

I'm working on it - have posted a message on the Scalefiour Soc. forum to see if anyone has anything suitable, althiough it is obviously short notice.  How about a Scalefour Society stand if nothing else? (We should be able to do that!).

Around three months to go to our show.

I am heading to the York show by train tomorrow and looking forward to it.

For those planning on coming to our show  from far away time to book up the advance train tickets!

Our show is  a 5 minute walk from the station.

I'm off to the York show tomorrow as well but have put the Perth show into my diary.  I've never been to the Perth show before but the layout list looks interesting and it'll be good to see the Scottish traders under one roof.  I couldn't make ModelRail Scotland but the Perth show, I've been told, matches the Glasgow one.

Clive

Glad to know that the reputation of Perth continues to grow. Our aim as always is to promote the hobby. We have pretty well finalised the list of participants and now are working towards the extra details which will make the visitor experience to Perth memorable. We hope you have the dates for this show in your diary already.

Just another update to follow Calum's one. We can confirm addition of another layout namely Haston Vt by Phil Holman of Scottish Modellers which follows an American theme.

This brings our layout haul this year to our highest ever at 37. With the show getting ever closer, we hope that many users of this forum have the dates marked in their diaries!

Regards,

Stan

With just over a month to go I have uploaded some footage of Cadham Bay by Glenrothes MRC on to our PerthMRC channel on You Tube. It will be appearing at the show this year, the detailing is up to the usual high standard of the Glenrothes club, with some excellent buildings and roads.

There is also a video of Elliot Bridge by Stirling and Clackmannanshire on our Perth MRC channel which will be at this years show. Another really excellent layout with lots to see and hear.

Finally a link to our own Helmstadt which will be appearing along with Fastleigh.

Enjoy the videos but come along and see them at the show :imsohappy:

Hi Everyone!  Just a reminder that we are organising DCC seminars/clinics by DCC Supplies and similar on sound projects by Paul Chetter who writes regular articles in the model railway press. It pays to book these in advance - morning and afternoon sessions on the Saturday and morning sessions on the Sunday.

Please contact exhibition manager@perthmrc.com to book your slot!

Hope you are all looking forward to Perth show!

Stan,

I notice that neither your original list of layouts nor the website for Perth MRC makes mention of Edinburgh and Lothian MRC attending this year with Newcastleton.  Am I correct in saying it will be attending the 2013 show?

Regards

David

Hi David,

My fault for not updating the website!  It is now listed and very definitely coming.  Thanks for pointing this out to me.

Best regards,

Stan
