class"66"
Plenty of good progress this evening, in the form of painting back scenes along the single branchline on banks road...... Using different shades of (Tamiya) green paints and pastels along with scatter mixs.... 1st stage is to hand paint in some tree trunks using fine tip paint brush.. class"66"
2nd stage.. Ive started to mixs some different Tamiya green paints together, and gently paint in "bush" like shapes round the dark coloured tree trunks...
class"66"
3rd stage... While the paint is wet still, gently blow coloured (Woodland scenic) scatters over the top, this now makes the trees 3D finish...

Crisis Rail
DRS 20 on the list for Flask workings on the layout - looks the part - although going for the Compass livery - it will all set me back about £300 with sound. .......your DRS collection looks more like Gresty Bridge each time. Ian Ive now added extra detailing inside the main depot building, along with tools, staff, and safety signs... GRESTY BRIDGE....!

WCML100
i like the drs theme going on - very nice. I also like you ride of the trees on the back scene. I think possibly adding one or two trees in front of the back scene will give it that depth to finish it off!

RMweb Gold fishytrains Posted July 5, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 5, 2015 I love your technique for the back scene. I was thinking along similar lines for mine, so will be using something similar when I finally get round to doing my back scenes. Mike
