I am currently painting in 4mm and 7mm scales

I am selling on ebay and direct for those that would like to order direct and I have a website ( that I really need to keep more updated ) at www.thepurpleprimer.co.uk

Anyway that's enough for now - let me show you a few of my figures if I may ....

Was you happy with how much your first ebay items sold for PP ? Very nice items I nearly bid myself. ;)

Very nice Rob.What's he supposed to be reading ? I take it he's not a railway figure from the Dart range.

Hi Robin

Yes he is a Dart one they call him "Man Reading" MCV20 http://www.dartcastings.co.uk/montys/MCV20.php

I am not exactly sure what he is reading but due to the fact his clothes look like they match - ie not a lime green shirt and a pink jacket I think we have to assume not a copy of Bradshaw's ?

Let me zoom into my picture and see if I can read the words - yup now I remember

This is too tiny to paint - I hope I don't Sneeze now

These three ladies are some of the ancient Dapol figures but I actually like these figures - tricky though

4mm scale

'Ladies that lunch' - well they are waiting on a platform and if I am being honest I don't actually know if they are going to lunch. See I feel bad now I might have been misleading, let's start again ...

Ladies wot wait :-)

A 4mm Loco Fireman , Crew  - leaning on a shovel - another brilliantly posed figure from Dart Castings

Phew - you can almost feel how hot the work is he has been doing - I love it when the sculptor has really thought about it - the way the cap is slightly tilted back like he has just wiped his brow is genius.

This one currently on my ebay store

I realise I have been neglecting you 7mm fans so here is one in that scale finished a few weeks back - from Phoenix this one

Really enjoyed putting the glow on the tip of his fag on this one and painting in some cigarettes in the packet

Just finished this commission for a set of 4mm Dapol figures .

I have to admit these were hard work and I am glad to see these on the varnishing bench now

I might add another picture after the varnishing processes so you can see how they look before & after - a subtle but important difference in my opinion but possibly only visible to the naked eye.

7mm Figure - Dart Castings - This guy is Billy - also answers to Chubby - almost always not around when any work needs doing.

Talking of work, I think it's about time someone gave the mugs a rinse

>>>

Someone mentioned some before and after shots - so here we go

This one is another 7mm figure from a Phoenix casting

An interesting figure this one and plenty of uses - he could be a foreman and could be especially suitable for a goods shed or loading dock - or is he just a passenger - he could be any kind of railway worker really. This one is currently in my ebay shop
