SDJR7F88
Final started work on one of the items of stock from the third batch (apart from the updated Collett Goods, which I hope to get some pictures of soon). The item in question is a Bachmann 34-253 Composite Coach in BR Departmental Green. This was quite a challenge for me as this was my first proper go at weathering a coach! Hear are some picture of the progress made on it. The main coach body, frame, roof and end are all complete. I just have the bogies and wheel to complete. As the weather has been so lovely over the weekend I decided to take the picture outside (not sure how well the light and camera picks it all out), the third image is probably the closest to what it looks like in the flesh . Please tell me what you think of it, so far! Edited March 16, 2014 by SDJR7F88

SDJR7F88
The first coach is now complete!...well nearly! I still have just to add a bit of black wash to the wheels, to dull them down and add that oil leak effect too them. Here's some photos of her outside, in the sunshine for some photos! As always please tell me what you think! As this is my first proper go at a coach!

SDJR7F88
While I was taking some photos of the recently completed Department Coach I finally got around to taking some photos of the redone Bachmann Collett Goods! Her owner wanted me to dull her down a bit more, so make her a bit more dirty! I feel it is certainly an improvement and I hope you agree too! Hav u gt a layout thread on ere?? I dunno where to start lol Great news! You'll have to start a repainting and kit bashing one! Yes, I have for Compton Martin and Compton Quay (see the blue links below), have not updated them for a while though, as there is nothing to update. It's a mater of just getting stuck in there and finding out how thinks work. I still have lots to learn! You seem to be doing much better than I am, all ready commenting on topics! SDJR7F88
4 more wagons complete (well apart from a bit of grease build up on the buffers and a bit of a black wash on the wheels )! The wagons in question are Bachmann Bogie Bolsters, which the owner plans to use to for a Permanent Way Train, which will also feature the BR Department Coach I completed recently. Again these wagons where a first for me, but really please with the results . I started off by painting some planks on the deck, to make them look like replacement planks. I then gave the wagon a good dusting of smoke powder and added frame dirt the frames and bogies. These picks feature just 2 of the 4 wagons, but they as you can see all four would not fit on the display track ! Please tell me what you think!
