Allegheny1600
Cheers Rob! Never mind, Jordan, I'll be getting Rob back for you when I do a repaint of a Santa Fe RSD4/5 into C&NW colours later! Gawd, it would be awful if Rob was planning to do the same to a C&NW Alco of his own! Ha, ha, ha! Cheers, John E.
rodshaw
That's very nice striping work. Models can be ruined by a bad paint job but not this one.
F-UnitMad
I knew you would take offense Jordan , but it had to be done. It's the only GP7 I have.... No worries mate "offence" isn't quite the right word - after all, Rule#1 applies, & like I said, it is a skilled repaint!!
DanielB
I do love GP7/9's and SD7/9's, so this repaint is definitely relevant to my interests.
Robatron86
No worries mate "offence" isn't quite the right word - after all, Rule#1 applies, & like I said, it is a skilled repaint!! Ok, let's go with take exception to it . But thank you for your kind words. I was unsure after the first few as it looked a little wonky!
Adrian Wintle
I do love GP7/9's and SD7/9's, so this repaint is definitely relevant to my interests. You should really like the PRR in the 50s - you could frequently see 5-6 GP9s (with a GP9B) dragging freights up through the Horseshoe Curve with probably 3-4 RS-11s on the back pushing... Robatron86
Finally received my order of the Walthers Roof top Detailing kit, so I can finish the shed, one thing I regret not having ready for TVNAM. I did have some Rix vents to go on, but I don't think they suit the building. Also some decals from Microscale are on the way to finish my GP7. Exciting times! Robatron86
Haha yes Daniel! GP7 will be finished tonight! And maybe a cheeky repainted of the SW1 into Zebra stripe.
Robatron86
Well, Zebra Stripes are very fragile, coupled with using Micro Sol....makes it a bit of a challenge. I decided to use the Microscale strips in the end. Half the loco is complete at present.

Robatron86
Having spent nearly 4 years in the BMS/HVAC industry, I seen many AHU and AC set ups, and plenty of dodgy, outdated, unreliable and outright dangerous systems, so here is my 1:87 interpretation of a woefully inadequate AC system. What do you think?
DanielB
Looks very nice mate. How'd you make it? Also... can I just say... DAT GP7!
Robatron86
You like then? Haha! Glad you approve! The ducting is made from resin pieces from Unit models. Very handy pieces to have. The AC, vents etc are Walthers.
Robatron86
I missed your post Simon. Not sure how. Thank you for you kind words. I can assure you though that this AC is safe, just no capable of pushing the amount of air required!
