Hi Craig,

Thanks for the imput, I looked at Cambrian for the Y25 bogies, and found the correct ones right next to them!!!!

They are Gloucester bogies (Part No C37). The description on the Cambrian website even says for Sealions!!!!!

Jinty ;-)

That's them, Gloucester not Y25, don't get them on DMU's you see, that's why I got confused  :drag:

Yes the 58s are nice I have two of them, on in Coal sector and one in RailFreight red stripe :)

I do like the 58's. I had one of the plain TTG ones on order from the 'other' supplier in Sheffield but got pissed messed around a bit, so cancelled!!! :dontknow:

I'll find one somewhere in the near future. Insulation of the garage is more important now.  ;)

A relaxed afternoon at home waiting to go and pick the in-laws up from Speke.
Decided to do a little job for a friend, fit a decoder to "Duchess of Sutherland". Easy enough, loco drive and performs very well indeed.
Seen here pulling a special into Wrexbury Marsh.

And here is one of the Ratio (511) lineside huts, just placed for now in the area I'm looking to fix it down, and to add a load of clutter around.

Given that Wrexbury itself is being taken apart, I thought I'd have a bit of a play before finally stripping it.

Unfortunately, when I switched on, there was no power to the track!!!

I had a quick look, but to no avail, I couldn't get any DCC power to it at all!!!

Oh well, I'll just have a few staged photos then, give me something to remember it by. So here goes

Wrexbury will be no more by the end of the weekend, and the garage will be undertaking some work to make it more habitable.

It's a sad feeling when you take a layout apart especially after all the effort you've put in mate, but the next one will be even better, great photos to remember it by Jinty.

Cheers, Paul

Jinty stop faffing around with those models .... by the time you had set all those Duffs up, you could have had about 6 yards of track ripped up, use your time more efficiently Young Man  :drag:

That looked good, I am already looking forward to seeing yours eyes after another 65 nights of constant soldering whilst building track .......

Thanks David,

I think you can have too many 47s, you should send some to me :)

Nahhh, you just can't have too many!!!!

Shame it coming to an end Jinty but look forward to the new improved Wrexbury.

Graham.

It's all for the good Graham, although I could probably do with your woodworking skills with the redevelopment!!!!

Waiting for the quotes back for the laser cut helix bits ;-)

Looking forward to more of your "skills" :paint: :mail:

luv your loco fleet....

Thanks Neil

Great pics.

Looking forward to seeing the revamp.

Thanks Ess, it should be good, well with the amount of thought that's gone into it!!!!

Yes Paul it is, but I'm really looking forward top cracking on with it once the garage is sorted.

Reading your news Jinty I feel like the passing of a close friend, RIP Wrexbury

Ahhh, Simon, don't be sad, there will be a reincarnation!!!

It's a redevelopment, but good insulation for the garage first! My bones feel the cold more now :-(

Thanks Brian,

I'm sure you've got something up your sleeve, ready to put together ;-)

Come on now Craig, you're going to giver me a complex about the position of my eyes!!!!!!

Can't do any soldering of track yet as I'm still waiting for my OO-SF gauges. So the eyes are safe for now!!!

Still plenty to be getting on with other than track building!!!

And another year passes tomorrow too, so the bones get older still!!!!

Sad to see Wrexbury going Jinty but having seen the work you've carried out on the Marsh I'm sure its replacement will be a more than worthy successor. Not looking forward to pulling my layout apart in the loft as its been around for the last 15 years and there's a few memories there as well. Started building it when the lad was born. I can well rememeber building the station buildings in the middle of the night in between feeding duties. Unfortunately there always comes a point when a layout has run its course and its time to move on.

Look forward to seeing the rebirth of the new improved Wrexbury.

Cheers

Marcus
