muddys-blues
Hi Craig, Thanks for the imput, I looked at Cambrian for the Y25 bogies, and found the correct ones right next to them!!!! They are Gloucester bogies (Part No C37). The description on the Cambrian website even says for Sealions!!!!! Jinty ;-) That's them, Gloucester not Y25, don't get them on DMU's you see, that's why I got confused

Jintyman
Yes the 58s are nice I have two of them, on in Coal sector and one in RailFreight red stripe I do like the 58's. I had one of the plain TTG ones on order from the 'other' supplier in Sheffield but got pissed messed around a bit, so cancelled!!! I'll find one somewhere in the near future. Insulation of the garage is more important now. Jinty ;-)
Jintyman
A relaxed afternoon at home waiting to go and pick the in-laws up from Speke. Decided to do a little job for a friend, fit a decoder to "Duchess of Sutherland". Easy enough, loco drive and performs very well indeed.Seen here pulling a special into Wrexbury Marsh. And here is one of the Ratio (511) lineside huts, just placed for now in the area I'm looking to fix it down, and to add a load of clutter around.More from the Departmental tool van and 47050 tomorrow.Jinty ;-)

Jintyman
Given that Wrexbury itself is being taken apart, I thought I'd have a bit of a play before finally stripping it. Unfortunately, when I switched on, there was no power to the track!!! I had a quick look, but to no avail, I couldn't get any DCC power to it at all!!! Oh well, I'll just have a few staged photos then, give me something to remember it by. So here goes 60002 "Capability Brown" leaves with the Stanlow Tanks 37906 Arrives with the ARC hoppers for the quarry, stabled in the centre road 56034 "Ogmore Castle" arrives with a train of PCAS's to be reversed for Wrexbury Marsh 47475 arrives with the Wrexbury Marsh - Wolverhampton local (Mk1's) 37429 "Eisteddfod Genedlaethol" ready to leave with the ARC Hoppers, as 47475 traverses the throat into the bay with the local And 37429 subsequently leaves Sisters 47834 "Fire Fly" and 46835 "Windsor Castle" arrive with a special 47535 "Leicester University" backs down to reverse the train, whilst 47474 "Sir Rowland Hill" readys itself to leave 47580 "Tamar" arrives with more PCA's from the branch And 47474 leaves for Bristol 47474 receives a signal check in the cutting as Tinsley's pet 47145 "Meddyn Emrys" arrives with a Speedlink service And 47145 viewed from the other side of the bridge I don't think you can have too many Duffs, here are most of mine NSE Class 108 departs with a local service for Wrexbury Marsh 47834 departs with the special, whilst 47145 sits waiting for its next duty A construction sector take over at the fueling point A view through the short road tunnel to the depot And finally, it must be a Sunday with the amount of locos on shed Wrexbury will be no more by the end of the weekend, and the garage will be undertaking some work to make it more habitable. Jinty ;-)

RMweb Gold PjKing1 Posted March 5, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 5, 2015 It's a sad feeling when you take a layout apart especially after all the effort you've put in mate, but the next one will be even better, great photos to remember it by Jinty. muddys-blues
Jinty stop faffing around with those models .... by the time you had set all those Duffs up, you could have had about 6 yards of track ripped up, use your time more efficiently Young Man That looked good, I am already looking forward to seeing yours eyes after another 65 nights of constant soldering whilst building track ....... Thanks Ess, it should be good, well with the amount of thought that's gone into it!!!! Cheers, Paul Yes Paul it is, but I'm really looking forward top cracking on with it once the garage is sorted. Reading your news Jinty I feel like the passing of a close friend, RIP Wrexbury Ahhh, Simon, don't be sad, there will be a reincarnation!!! It's a redevelopment, but good insulation for the garage first! My bones feel the cold more now :-( Like the rest have said sad to see it go but glad your starting again (not like me 6months and still nothing lol) Are you sticking with a similar track plan or total change ? Brian Thanks Brian, I'm sure you've got something up your sleeve, ready to put together ;-) And I'm looking forward to it! Come on now Craig, you're going to giver me a complex about the position of my eyes!!!!!! Can't do any soldering of track yet as I'm still waiting for my OO-SF gauges. So the eyes are safe for now!!! Still plenty to be getting on with other than track building!!! And another year passes tomorrow too, so the bones get older still!!!! Marcus 37
Sad to see Wrexbury going Jinty but having seen the work you've carried out on the Marsh I'm sure its replacement will be a more than worthy successor. Not looking forward to pulling my layout apart in the loft as its been around for the last 15 years and there's a few memories there as well. Started building it when the lad was born. I can well rememeber building the station buildings in the middle of the night in between feeding duties. Unfortunately there always comes a point when a layout has run its course and its time to move on. Look forward to seeing the rebirth of the new improved Wrexbury. Cheers Marcus
