Rugd1022
Just checked through the thread to see if I've posted these already and realised I hadn't (mind is playing tricks due to mid life fuddy-duddyness, but some of them have appeared elsewhere!), so here goes... A miserable (yet warmly remembered) Saturday 4th December 1982 at Padd, care of Kodak Instamatic cartridge film... Sunday 20th August 1989 finds Triumph on P/Way duty... Almost twenty years later it's still on home turf at the Bodmin & Wenford... Back to '80s with the worst 50 Old Oak ever had, every time I was working on it something either fell off or it failed...!

Rugd1022
LOL. Any good ones that particularly stood out at the time Nidge?? Ooh quite a few... 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36 and 38... all top Old Oak machines for me. Thrashed almost daily but they seemed able to take it in their stride so long as they were in good nick. Not too many flashovers experienced although I did have it happen on 32 once, up in the sidings by Royal Oak while I was inside using the urinal - nearly jumped out of my skin! My driver thought it was funny at the time...

Rugd1022
Great set of photos Phil - the one which stands out for me is '26 at Oxford, it looks almost rural compared to the same view now - the station area is becoming somewhat hemmed in compared to those days. Steve-e
Think I prefer the original toothpaste livery, I think its the white window surounds that make the livery stand out more. Steve

RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted September 18, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 18, 2014 The Fellsman pics are at Doncaster. I would imagine a certain "iron horse" was also on that tour, I wonder if he recognises anyone in the pics?! 033 is where it says on the sign! Can anyone tell me where the pic of 018 is? (I know I took it, but I can't remember where!! Aller divergence maybe?) is 003 at Clapham? any help gratefully accepted!! Cheers, Phil.
