"pretentiously overpriced gastro pubs"  Yes, do need to be a bit wary of them but sometimes it's a case of a brief call at any port in a storm to tied you over until you can reach the next proper hostelry.

I spent a very pleasant couple of days with friends down in Cornwall after Warley. Gorgeous weather as can be seen below.

Looking across to Plymouth from Mount Edgcumbe. The Edgcumbe pub at Cremyll does a good lunch and a nice drop of beer!
