enginelane
Another breakfast in the garden before 7 am, very Mediterrean, and just time before work to dry brush some light grey over some vents for the grocery and mill buildings. enginelane
After an involved 45 minute meeting about how to assign levels of attainment to kids when new curriculum does not specify what they are and will change from letter to number grades that do not match then radio 5 football and the relative sanity of some modelling. Concrete base colour, depot buff walls with irregular patches of grey as first layers. Set in early 1960s and a building built in the age of steam etc means will look used but not grotty. First canopy attached .

enginelane
Rainy evening and hard end to week so couple of hours spent adding additional layers of paint to warehouse. It says winter streaking on the bottle but gives the effect I am looking for. Managed to get enough paint out of the tin to complete the mill building. The Humbrol paint tin looked like it had been bought decades ago!

enginelane
Some progress on baseboards but case of one step forward two steps back. Classic what works on paper does not necessarily work on the boards and not helped by trying to use too a high number point in the sidings. So until the new order comes in then back onto buildings which is a small diner based upon the classic stainless version from Walthers Edited July 5, 2014 by enginelane

However when fitting the access stairway it became apparent top of right hand side had come in slightly so joint will have to be cracked and straightened.
