John Tomlinson
"You're wierd, you are" Sorry to be flippant, but this reminded me of the episode in the IT crowd when Moss is learning how to speak "man" and they go to a football match, it ends with them being in a bank robbery. Moss "I like wierd, wierd is what I am" Yep. John.

When it warms up, wood generally shrinks, metal expands. Not the best combination for baseboards and rail joints.................... 1

Sorry guys I don't watch telly , I am either modelling, running trains, mucking about on the interweb and/or listening to music. This week I have been listening to this lady, only the French can call a girl after a car and get away with it. How many British girls are called Ital?

Satan's Goldfish
To keep the good dr happy, I have not had baked beans with this mornings breakfast... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .... of scrambled egg on a bed of chilli nachos. I feel I've dodged a verbal beating there... 1

Until recently, France, like many European countries, had an 'approved' list of first names. Generally, these were saints' names, events in the church calender etc. If the name you chose wasn't on the list, then you were told by the Registrar to go away and come up with another. There was a celebrated case where a family were told they couldn't call their new daughter 'Megane'; their family name was Renault, and the Registrar was concerned the child would be teased at school... 1

Could have been worse, if I hadn't spotted the already open nachos then it was about to be a pack of bacon frazzles with my eggs...

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted August 24, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted August 24, 2019 Three wire only troll here everyone. OK before Map shows us what concoction he is experimenting with tomorrow for his breakfast I will say what modelling I have been trying to do the last few nights. I have cut the bits out for the FK and the SK. Not yet assembled. The FK might be last as I am not sure how many spare doors I will have so I might have to cut the door windows out of the body side. I have done that on the post war CK as it seemed daft to cut that about when I could keep the body strength intact. The BSK were the loo needed moving has been cut up as well. The porthole SK has been marked out ready for cutting. I am well on the way with LMS train one.

But no one else will stand near you My aeromodeller buddy came by to pick up his goodies I brought back from HK. He hasn't seen the train set since its US switching plank days, and was impressed by the amount of track I had now. He was blown away by the sound fitted diesels, and the way they mimic full size locomotives with acceleration and proper braking. I swear he almost converted to railway modelling on the spot. So that was nice. I am also testing another bridge to break up the scene - quite pleased with the effect. Dr Gerbil-Fritters
Probably 2 tone green I think.... At one point I was tempted to posit an alternative universe in which Scotrail imported a bunch of these GMs instead of relying on clapped out 37s... I would have modelled them in large logo, with Highland Stag emblems on cabsides This guy's fictitious liveries are absolutely fantastic - some of them cry out to be modelled just to spoof the rivet neds Edited August 29, 2019 by Dr Gerbil-Fritters 8
