Another hour last night and it's coming along nicely, I think.

The joins don't look the best at the moment but once the mortar is added and its weathered it'll look fine.

Very nice job that is Paul.

I'm always in awe of others structure modelling.

Structures and scenery are the two bits that I find the most daunting.

You have a busy time coming up. It can't be far off now.

Jinty ;)

Thanks Jinty but if your track building is anything to go by your scenery will be outstanding!! I look forward to structures an stuff even though most the time I haven't a clue how I'm going to do it, I try not to plan to much apart from brick counting and researching pics etc, but when I'm building them just go with the flow :) well it's worked up to now haha.

Busy time indeed, it'll be two weeks on Sunday, so the beer ban has kicked in incase it's a trip to maternity :O

I best make the most of my free time now!!

Thanks again

Two weeks????

Never, I'm sending you some Slaters Plastikard 7mm Random Stone sheets and a couple of pictures of Talyllyn's tunnel mouth!!! ;)

At least 7mm is nearly twice the size so you'll be able to see it better in the poor light of the night!!!

Nice one that'll keep me busy ;)

Seriously though if you want me to have a go building it I will mate, although somethings are difficult it can't go wrong like track or electrics so I'm more comfy with it, although will it arouse my O gauge desires again :O

Thanks Steve and as for O gauge I'll just admire your collection ;) anyway if I went O gauge who would you tempt with all your 00 gauge collection :O

Actually feel like I'm getting somewhere now an seem to be getting modelling time each day, today's progress I've managed to grab the odd 30 min here and there so managed quite a bit.

Some of the edges look a bit rough but by the time I've finished blending them all together it'll look ok.

Although I did over an hour last night it doesn't actually look like I've got much done, I've cut the bridge to the correct length and I've added the bricks road side and on the edges. I've added these as there is an old stone wall either side of the bridge.

Next up will be to add the mortar to these then add a bit of colour and grime, then it'll be the internal framework and the brickwork under the bridge.

Progress of the last couple of days has seen the underside of the bridge made, although no one will see it I thought I may as well build it as accurately as possible, the only images I had of the underside were on a YouTube video of the line though.

Once made I've painted and weathered it, again it won't be seen but at least I'll know it's there.

Next up was the brickwork for under the bridge, again I've used the same method as before, it was then painted then the mortar added.

And finally last night I've added the first layer of weathering using powders, I've then sealed it although the varnish seems to have left a shiny sheen in some areas even though it says it's matt, possibly because I've held it to close? Not to worry though as it'll be getting rubbed off ready for the next layer of weathering, I like to build up layers of weathering on brickwork as the end result looks far better.

Only 20 minutes or so tonight's but the first layer of weathering has been rubbed down, it looks a bit patchy but all be adding more powder again tomorrow and repeating the process until I'm happy.
