  1. That's fine Adrian, no problems at all.
  2. Just start a topic off in this forum area. That's sufficient to register an interest.
  3. I'l set them up after the closing date Stuart and put a note in here, and probably other places too!
  4. There will be a sub-forum set up and it would be preferable if a summary of the build and the best shots are included within that summary topic, as with previous challenges. If there is a need to link to off-site content so be it but some readers may not follow the links (it's a habit thing with people).
  5. Eley's pork pie

  6. You'll be happy to go and clear up 200 yards of body parts and advise the next of kin then. Nobody is using the topic to discuss parallel stupidity and selfishness really so I think this tack is somewhat superfluous.
  7. Have I been an invisible ink victim? I haven't seen anything despising amateurs; just stupidity and thoughtlessness.
  8. It's disappointing to see selfish behaviour such as this. Aside from the fact he doesn't believe that boundaries, warnings and the law applies to him he obviously has no consideration to the drivers or other railway workers who have to make a split-second decision as what hazard he may represent and the potential disruption caused for those who then have to plan around his stupidity. Looking at his equipment he probably classes himself as an enthusiastic amateur, I can't put his act down to ignorance; just selfish and inconsiderate. I'm pleased that his face is there to be seen and I can but live in hope that he gets to see his face and realise that the majority of people who have an interest in the railway deplore his selfishness. Obviously Nidge has played his part but wouldn't it be nice if he could be tracked down and made an example of? I daresay he has a youtube account to impress us with how good his footage is compared to folks who play the game safely. I'm sure rally fans of the 80s can relate some far more bloodcurdling examples of brain-donors but there's just no reason for what's seen above in this era.
  9. Recalls are only necessary when it's a safety related issue. I trust your 'legal adviser' waived his usual Bank Holiday rates? Following the advice already given would have saved you a few bob.
  10. Please follow Ravenser's advice and contact Hornby for a resolution. If you've had another loco which has suffered before surely you'd have done that? They may be able to replace an item but compensation isn't something which is likely.
  11. Hi Oli, Obviously you've had an issue but I'd be grateful if membership on this site wasn't solely used to grind a 2mm axe please.
  12. returns from a day at the Amateur Sheet-Waving heats.

Looking at one of the snaps taken during scanning I can see the point being made by looking at the edge of the yellow warning panel. Full yellow ends disguise the change but it can be seen by the perpendicular bottom of the front on the far corner in this shot. The original CAD from scanning looks to recognise this but it could be that the factory flattened the difference out in subsequent CADs.
  20. much prefers RMweb Blue.

I think I get where you're coming from with that Dave. It looks like all of the drop should be ahead of the red line marked on the snap below. It's worth closer examination.

    Sky Protect?

You're quite correct Pete. It's Domestic & General and they state they're the only one officially endorsed by Sky. I wonder how all the other companies get your details though.
  23. Andy Y

    Sky Protect?

You'll be plagued forever by these. Sky sell on details of box owners to numerous warranty providers. Your recently provided box will be covered by a 12 month warranty with Sky anyway but such companies try and sell the additional benefits of accidental damage cover, dish etc. It's up to you if you think the extra amount is worth it but I wouldn't bother until it's out of manufacturers warranty at least Tom.
