It would seem odd if under this new scheme I have to apply to the Home Office for a licence to buy a box of twenty but Mamod can handle 10,000 a month without one. I would have thought it more the other way around.

This includes solid fuel tablets for small steam engines. It appears Mamod must have a licence to buy fuel from their supplier and they must also check that you the consumer have a licence before they can sell you a model with a box of fuel. The licence costs £39.50 and lasts three years. Supplying or possessing unlicensed hexamine comes with a threat of up to two years in prison.
