So it appears this chap from the Wonka Experience is getting his very own horror film. https://screenrant.com/the-unknown-movie-willy-wonka-experience-horror-development/

Continuing the literary theme: That time someone tried to explain the Handmaid's Tale to Margret Atwood...

There's a man who's never seen a badger off its face on fermenting windfall fruit.
-
To be fair, that sign is almost completely obscured by water so he can be forgiven for not seeing it.
-
Well the Creation Museum clearly shows humans, squirrels and velociraptors peacefully coexisting so who's the fool now?
-
Yep. Absolutely no bother at all.
-
Old-school sticker job. Edit: No it’s real an unexpectedly jaunty.

IIRC the speed at which it becomes impossible to brace yourself is around 12mph.

At 500kg it probably doesn't matter what you're wearing...

Some words about how often EVs catch fire. TLDR; Not very often. https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/tusker-fleet-data-reveals-the-truth-about-ev-fires -
The current tablets seem a bit less smelly, also more waxy and sooty. They're quite different. Mamod have reacted by slashing the price of their gas burner conversion. https://mamodspares.com/1358a-gas-burner-conversion-cw-scuttle-318-p.asp You can buy aftermarket meths burners, old ones on eBay are silly money, and that's before all this nonsense. https://suffolksteamengines.co.uk/products/copy-of-reproduction-meth-spirit-burner-tray-ideal-for-mamod-mobile-steam-engines-1

It would seem odd if under this new scheme I have to apply to the Home Office for a licence to buy a box of twenty but Mamod can handle 10,000 a month without one. I would have thought it more the other way around.
-
TBH, with the sketchy oversight Amazon applies to things sold on their site you could just order a live bomb and add No 10 as a delivery address.
-
Ignorance I guess since they don't seem to have publicised this. Still plenty places selling fuel tablets, especially for camping stoves. If the counter terrorism people have got to contacting Mamod they are presumably doing the rounds and there are going to be some rather surprised suppliers.

Mamod made this post on Facebook the other day: https://www.facebook.com/MamodSteam/posts/pfbid02t7i6FoPn1Q4zUWUaXu3iAX31EjG6U1yiGGjuRp9zuPVKjDx5Cc1hYrDLG6GWZ4oVl Basically to buy products containing certain chemicals you need to have a licence. This includes solid fuel tablets for small steam engines. It appears Mamod must have a licence to buy fuel from their supplier and they must also check that you the consumer have a licence before they can sell you a model with a box of fuel. The licence costs £39.50 and lasts three years. Supplying or possessing unlicensed hexamine comes with a threat of up to two years in prison. It all seems a bit much really. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/licensing-for-home-users-of-explosives-precursors/licensing-for-home-users-of-poisons-and-explosive-precursors

Back when I had the Leaf it was a doddle to just push the Park button in the middle of the gear selector.

Marketing is weird. Today that's the sort of thing PETA would use to make you vegan.

The Spring has a small frunk and vehicle-to-load which shames some more expensive EVs. -
I like to wheel out Connoisseur's website http://www.jimmcgeown.com when this topic comes up. It's technically about as complicated as a stick but it's very very well written. Lots of nice clear images and text telling you all about the models. You can download instructions to further get a feel for a kit before you buy. Ordering is manual but clearly explained.
