  1. Hi Sorry but I think you have the prices wrong on the Pendolino. 5 car £220 9 car £300 11 car £345 The prices you quote are for the 50% deposit. Cheers Paul
  2. Hi I have the previous Cargo train set with the yellow electric and I felt the wagons in it were better than the newer set shown here. Cheers Paul
  3. Hi Perhaps I'm missing something here but the Pendolino has been around since January so 9 months to save the money for it so why is it a problem that the orders for the TEAs are now being accepted? Cheers Paul
  4. Hi The green in the photo wraps around to the raised part of the roof and I have currently painted the green upto this point leaving the centre section with the hatches grey but it looks odd. It's the slab sided one I'm painting. Cheers Paul
  5. Hi Phil The builder was Fauvet-Girel in 1974 It's this type here http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/belgianpolybulk Number range 21-88-0998-000, 007, 010, 011, 015-019, 021, 022, 025, 029, 030, 033-057, 066-080 & 100-110 Thanks for the link but it's the original Polybulk grey and green livery I am trying to do. Cheers Paul
  6. Hi Does anyone know what colour the top of the wagon was where the roof hatches are? All the pictures in the original grey and green livery I can find don't show the top of the roof. The green appears to go up to the raised section where the hatches are but I cannot determine if it continues over the top. Cheers Paul
  7. Hi Not as sad as you might think. I've been doing this for years so that when the new release I want arrives I have the funds to pay for it. Cheers Paul
  8. Hi Ron An opto isolator such as tlp521 could be used to isolate the DCC feed from the feedback. https://www.futurlec.com/Datasheet/LED/TLP521.pdf Cheers Paul
  9. Hi I also warm the moulds in the microwave for around 10 seconds before adding the talc and pouring the resin. Cheers Paul
  10. Hi You would be better off emailing Dapol direct than hoping that they read the forum. This has been done in the past with good effect. Cheers Paul
  11. Hi I am aware of that and it makes no difference to me as it dries the air out too much. Hence the reason I never use it. Cheers Paul
  12. Hi Not weird at all. I find it causes me to have a dry throat and sneeze a lot therefore I don't use it. Cheers Paul
  13. Hi Pete Harvey does a conversion set for the coaches http://www.phd-design-etchings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_28_64&product_id=121 Cheers Paul
  14. Hi According to the website the pressure is the same for the Curio and the Cameo at 210 grams. I was originally thinking of buying a Cameo but I am now wondering if a Curio would give me more flexibility. I'm not too worried about the narrower width as I model in 2mm so 8.5" will be plenty for me. Cheers Paul
  15. Hi Shrink it to N just after I finish my fourth Mill Lane Sidings kit example :-) Cheers Paul
  16. Hi Chris Does this include the fitted 1/275 chassis? Cheers Paul
  17. Hi The last time I actually looked (couple of years ago) the ones in Louth and the surrounding villages have GY and up to two numbers. I believe the GY is for Grimsby. Cheers Paul
  18. Hi Yes they did running from Immingham to Anglesey. Something one day I hope to recreate in N. Cheers Paul
  19. Hi I would certainly be interested in an N gauge one but sadly I don't think it would be viable. Cheers Paul
  20. Hi Simon Something else that might be useful http://www.adafruit.com/products/1270 Cheers Paul
  21. Hi Simon Once the Ardiuno is programmed there is no need for a PC and I'm not sure why you think you would need a PC connected to multiplex the display. Basically you would connect a switch to one of the pins to act as a trigger. Each time the switch is pressed a counter is incremented and the head code changes to the next one in the list once you have reached the end of the list reset the counter to zero. Have you considered using a LCD display instead of the 7 segment ones. This would provide more a flexible character set and some also allow you to add your own characters. Someone like this http://cpc.farnell.com/midas/mc20805b6w-fptlw/lcd-2x8-fstn-white-led-b-l-5v/dp/SC12638 Cheers Paul
  22. Hi Personally I would look at using an Ardiuno for this. Cheers Paul
  23. Hi Ben I assume those of us that have ordered the Poppy Pendolino don't need to do anything. Cheers Paul

Hi Why don't you email them with the information. I did this with the grain wagon and we got a far better model than we would have done. Cheers Paul
