  1. Hi, I have just purchased a Farish Class 108 2 car dmu, fitting the 2 decoders was easy but how do I program the decoders on the programming track? ie separately or together? Thanks
  2. Sorry to hear, have really enjoyed your tales of all things SOUTHERN.
  3. I have a coreless motor Farish 4F which has suddenly started to lock up, wiggling the wheels frees it for a while but then it happens again. Reading the instruction sheets it states that it should be lubricated but how do you access the gears as they are not visible. Thanks
  4. Many thanks for all the replies. With having a very limited budget and after looking a various systems I managed to pick up a Signatrak Ace 2 with additional hand controller off Ebay for less than a third of it's new cost. Unit is unmarked and was complete with all manuals, I can now read and write to decoders as a bonus.

  6. Hi, I am currently running my layout using a Dynamis system that I bought a number of years ago, my problem is that having about 30 locos, though only about 5 are on the layout at one time, I have to scroll through them all to change control from one to another so is there a way to group locos together or is there a system that has a screen where all locos can be seen so making change over easier? Secondly would I have to reprogram all my locos using a new system? Many thanks

  8. Check out Ron Lines, not all he has is listed on his website. Normally cheaper and better condition than the box-shifters. No problems with things I've bought.
  9. Just received newsletter from Hattons and they are listing new Farish items, have they settled their differences with Bachmann?

  11. Hi, having an Artitec kit to build is there an alternative to the recommended glue which is superglue.
  12. Used to buy your previous incarnation of a N Gauge magazine but unfortunately this new one will only be available to UK addresses, sure there could be demand from abroad.
  13. My N Gauge layout uses DCC and all locos run well apart from a 5 pole motored Graham Farish Rebuilt West Country which is noisy and jerky when running, is it possible to fit an alternative motor to give smoother and quieter running? Thanks for any advice.
  14. Looking for an example of the above wagon. Reasonable price and delivery to France will be paid. Thanks for any help.

  21. Hi, I bought a load of old Railway modellers / Model Railway News from Moss Books, Henrietta Street, Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago, still plenty left, they may be able to help. http://www.cambraycomputers.co.uk/mossbooks.html
  22. Pity they don't deliver outside of UK.
  23. Regarding the amount of space you have, I have 13 ft x 8 ft and am into N gauge - the only problem I have is that sometimes you can have too much room!
  24. I also have managed to get a railway room in my house here in France though my potential layout is only 4m x 2.5m, again in N gauge. My problem is deciding a suitable track plan after 6 months of deliberation. At least you are further advanced than me!
