  1. Thanks - here's a picture of the boards in their home. and under construction....although it was a "quick build" I felt it needed a water feature...so I made some modifications during board construction. This changed as the project progressed but the canal stayed in situ.
  2. This is where it all started. SMS were overwhelmed with orders during Lockdown so I had a good opportunity for a bit of "planning"..the sidings as built will easily cope with 3 10' WB wagons plus the odd slightly longer cattle wagon or horsebox
  3. Having gatecrashed Rob's Sheep Chronicles thread I felt I ought to do the decent thing - so here goes... The story so far.... I had bought a couple of BR era J70s as a mate was threatening to build a W&U based layout. When the March Lockdown bit I decided to see what I could achieve with a couple of SMS 77L RUB boards - albeit with a third board as a shunting lead. The result is Lockdown Fen. Peco C75 Bullhead was used which provided some design limits due to the length of the points ( and sadly made my Hornby Class 31 a non-starter) but I've managed a 3/3/5 Inglenook...and it gave me an excuse to build a few Parkside kits as well. Wisbech & Upwell is the inspiration but I'll be happy to use J15s, J72s as well as Class 24s/15s/08s.....all we need now is a 2020 standard Drewry...... Its very simple but it was a lot of fun.....
  4. Its called Lockdown Fen. 2 SMS RUB boards with a third as a Shunting lead. I keep meaning to start a thread! A bit of Lockdown diversion.
  5. Unlike some other stuff Lockdown has brought into play.....I'm just off to give myself a jolly good thrashing..

  7. Try this.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332792933429 and how about some parcels stock for the bay? a further thought - you have the option of having your station buiding perpendicular to the tracks beyond the buffers giving a longer bay..if you want...leaving more shunting flexibility for the lowest track which gives access to the siding
  8. David has kindly drawn in my suggested crossover! The extra platform will no doubt depend on the space you have available and if you want more complex track work? Chris
  9. It would be really good to see anything that captures the feel of Liverpool Central - I shall follow with interest. From an operational perspective would a second crossover in front of the Signal Box improve things?
  10. Humbrol powders and popcorn...the mind boggles....
  11. I assume the Sharpie is for the naughty list.......
  12. The 2 minutes was 100% observed very respectfully in the large Tesco I was in at 11am today. There is hope.
  13. Can you test your wiring using DC and a multi meter - that will quickly show if the feeds have somehow got crossed? Chris
