a further thought - you have the option of having your station buiding perpendicular to the tracks beyond the buffers giving a longer bay..if you want...leaving more shunting flexibility for the lowest track which gives access to the siding

The extra platform will no doubt depend on the space you have available and if you want more complex track work?

I have a George Sellios FineScaleMiniatures HO kit I brought back fro the US many years ago which I now realise I am very unlikely to start...never mind complete...does anyone know what the market in the UK is like for such kits?
On the only one I have done I have drilled into the walls from below and used thin straight piano wire (about 1mm or more) in walls and board as pegs to aid the glue. I made up a simple paper template to ensure holes matched up.
