Hello Rod I can't find the tinny I was after but here is another one so I must be getting close. I'll keep looking. Best -

Wow Rod that backscene work is great with my favourite piece of track work laying in front of it. You pick up on your warehouse backs saying you're not over sure about the rusting, I agree it does look a little too uniform. I have some photos of corrugated-tin warehouses showing rust, I'll see if I can find them. You may want to have a look here https://www.sankeyscenics.com/bespoke-items they have a big selection of signs and detail notices in all the major scales. They have given some away as inserts in the monthly Hornby MAG. Best -

Exciting times down on the Wirral peninsular and I'm eagerly awaiting some pictures of them in situ. Ahh thanks for your PS as I was wondering about your bedspread design. Regards -

Hello Ian, that ballast train looks great and the lowmac is well presented too. Regards -
looking good here as well as the K8 is over on your workbench thread too. Best

That's something I've been giving some thought to too. I've decided to set my back scene buildings at an angle off the back scene board. I've been playing with my Kellogg box factories and station buildings and will have to add some roofing but 30D or 45D angle looks quite promising it does fool the eye more than flat 2D on the back scene. I'll not be having all buildings in the same line or even the same amount of depth but that is easily done by roof length adjustment. Best

Hither Green TMD project Chunnel and Workbench
Barnaby replied to 47606odin's topic in 7mm+ modelling
Hello Ian, I've not seen any updates on here since your Bulldozer photo of June 8, have I lost contact or has Hither Green TMD come to its natural end. Best -
Andy not to cause any worry but what is your security for the pod door as it has a half door clear glass panel in it. If I have the geography right the door next to it the front door, I assume it is as it has a letter box in it so anybody wanting to post mail, leaflets, newspapers etc will all be able to watch the trains ………….. or not. Worried from up north.

Excellent work from the darrn sowff crew on the POD Andy. Ref the led tubes my leccy mate put 2 in my garage and they impressed such that I had him replace the lighting in my hobby cabin with them too. Cheaper to run and much better to work in, a longer life time and no flicker. They're still as good today as the day they were fitted some 2 years ago. Best

Wow that's great news Chris a new layout "Cwm Fawr" is going to be built while Cmw Bach has left to pastures new. Will it be a posting under its name or will it follow on in here, please leave a link if it is to start anew? Looking forward to joining in the build digitally. Best

That's looking very posh Ade with a comfortable area of decking to plan the modelling days running while quaffing a few G&T's, cheers. Hope you get some dry time to finish the painting before returning to work on Monday. Best

Yes Andy I gained a little more leisure time by using the gardening skills of the partner of one of my wife's ex-work colleagues. Mainly for de-weeding, lawn cutting, hedge trimming and flower bed tidy ups. It has given us much more fun time to deal with the containers etc. They have all the kit for the many gardening jobs that are required and of course I also get to work in my hobby cabin plenty more. Looking down the garden from the hobby cabin back towards the house Best

Cough, cough Rod Cumbria you say but with soft rolling hillsides and colour prints from a local daily newspaper in the late 50's, as I say cough, cough. Excellent quality though. Best

I agree Ade I do hope the Telford show will run even if I have to stand 2mtrs away from the prize layouts on show. Here's a photo of the track at Bewdley station that I use for colour balancing. I have yet to get my heavy handed painting touch light enough, ie dull down the colours.

Duncan you could try some India ink, make sure you get the waterproof ones and they come in 10 different colours. As it is a very watery medium it will paint on well with a brush thus localising the spread to the wires. New (4) from £7.97 + £2.80 Shipping Set of 6 20g drawing inks Black, Green, Blue, Yellow, Red, Brown colours Suitable for fountain, technical drawing brush and dropper I'm sure you will find a much more interesting use for them.
