  1. I do believe D200 / 40122 had a special commissioned green data panel when it was repainted into the green goddess. Here is a photo that I have sourced from Flickr by Julian Frost
  2. That will look good.... I suppose a quick trip to The Range for some black card....
  3. I do believe they were lost when the server had an issue about 12 months ago. It has affected many peoples pages.
  4. Paul I think you have done a great job..... My old man use to drive a Bedford TK then he changed it to a Bedford KM after a few years..... Brings back memories.

Yesterday I was at Milton Keynes waiting for a train to London when this trundled through the station. I would never thought that the HST's would be used on a freight train, even if it was only a test run. Apparently it ran from Walton Junction Old Sidings to Wembley as 6Z81
  6. 40 years ago I was a signaller at this location.... Doesn't time fly.
  7. Morning Andy Nice to see your railway coming together..... I think you need a few characters like your old mate LJ and company helping out on your layout. 😁 He and the motley crew are well and still getting into spots of bother....
  8. That's something quite different, as you say, "it does look the part"
  9. These look great Paul. Is this done by painting the bogies first then adding the weathering pigments and left to dry and then once again painting over them to get the desired effect?
  10. Ray After a search on the web I have come up with this painting depicting the flyover and the arches look as they pass through to the other side.
  11. On the depth of that mantle piece you definitely can go to O Gauge....😀

Today was another fine day, weather wise so Ray had already altered a point so we could replace one on the outside section as the existing one was causing derailments occasionally. We also started looking at rehousing the frog juicers and servos so they would be waterproof and easier to get to if needed so one of the projects to was to build a buffer stop and house a servo inside it…. Out came the plastic and this is what we came up with 🙂

Yesterday was spent with Ray in the garden operating a train service and to see how the magnet couplings held up and they made the operation so much easier. We had a couple of failures so this weekend we will rectify them i.e. a few track bonds need re-soldering etc. I took the opportunity to make some videos and join them all together and this was how it turned out.

This morning I made a start on swapping the gears out so the Class 20 was first up on the bench, both sets of cluster gears swapped out as 3 out of the 4 were split. Next up was the Class 55, again all sets of the cluster gears were changed as all 4 of them were split. 😟 Now she runs like a dream
  18. Morning You will need to ease the side frames of the bogies and then you will see 4 screws by the centre wheels undo these and the body will come off. if you need to take the bogies away from the chassis then there is a further 8 screws to undo again these are situated by the centre wheel. If you're fitting the decoder then the bogies will remain attached to the chassis. Good luck

Postie has arrived and bought me these little beauties, so next week I can assume that I am going to be busy fitting them. That should be all the early Heljan loco's done.
