What a wonderful collidescope of culture and colour India is. Today I was privileged, and lucky, to sample the many varied and interesting types of local pot hole. "Lucky" I hear you ask? Yes, they're the only things that slow down the 'mad' taxi drivers!

This afternoon I have just endured 73 hours (ish) in the Cinema being forced to watch Mama Mia 2. Whilst my wife (wisely) fell asleep I couldn’t help thinking that the 3 or 4 modelling projects (I have on the go) could have benefited enormously instead.

Easy as it goes helm. Watch? Sir. Keep a good look out. We're approaching the densest part of the asteroid belt now. Sir? Scanners show the nearest appreciable piece of rock at over 30,000km away.

...is asking for recommendations for awfully persistent 'ear worms' thanks to NGT6 1315 reminding me of the “Chinese Hong Kong Song”. (That particular 'ear worm' was previously removed by therapy and strong medication...)

Only 15 eggs, so far, with only 1 more day to fulfil this weeks target of 20 eggs from 3 birds. (At this rate I might have to revise down the end of year target of 8 eggs/day/bird!)

High voltage low current is just fun! Electric sheep fences :-) Sadly, the HV I've worked on has also been high current. Touch wood nobody I know has died, but it's been close a couple of times when there has been faults. I witness a good colleague get attached to a bus-bar once that should have been discharged but instead he lost the end of his finger and had to get rushed to medical aid. Those days are sobering.

White-walled tyres, chrome everywhere and giant fenders – all wallowing up and down the main drag! And the noise.....Chugachug Chugachug Vroom VROOOM purr chugachug.....

Should the LNER, (D49/2 number 238), “The Burton” wheel's quartering lead by 90 degrees on the LHS or the RHS when travelling in the forwards direction?

on the commute into work, this morning, I saw a class37. It was modified to look like a fork lift truck!

My 4 year old son was sent home from nursery today with a swollen face. My wife took him to the doc’s straight away where he was diagnosed with “slapped face syndrome”!!! I kid you not. Google it, I have. I can’t believe it. Of all the things I worry about what could happen to him growing up that was just not one of them.

Call me cruel, call me sadistic - but I just LOVE the sound of Dandelions disintegrating under the onslaught of my electric strimmer!

..took the train into Brussels today. Didn't stay long as there didn't seem to be anything to do! But I thoroughly enjoyed the ride on the ancient AM62 EMU though.
