  1. Bit more fiddlin' today... Finally managed to find* some super-goo to weld the sliders to the rail then got the brutus maximums out to stick them to the sleepers timbers (#P4Talk). Of course if the goo fails I'll just leave it all stuck to the template, having experienced the inability of slide chairs to hold the rail. Then some fun with frogs (#PecoTalk) the common crossing and rolling my own 'special' chairs. Some of these chairs are pre-Brian Lewis C&L (K&L was it?). * Robbed from Nola's workshop down the end of the garden
  2. Ah these fellows you mean... not currently available I keep bidding on them when they come up on the eBay but no luck so far (or is it I'm too tight?).
  3. well, thought about it and fought I do a bit of rivittin' innit..... then changed my mind, due to timber murders and not getting them straight and wantin' an easy (ier) life... so just went for good old solvent abuse I'll let that lot go off and come back and do the sliders. I'm thinkin' of supergluin' the rail to the chair and sticking' the chair to the timbers with good old brutus maxiums (as with the other chairs). Cut the checkers in half as they were a bit too P4 for my liking (and I don't know if the gap will bee correct for 4-SF either). They may be ok and if so, I'll wang 'em on the other side. Right time to enjoy my headache, from not sitting in a well ventillated room I think it might be cider for tea...
  4. Have a photo of Norton Hill Pit exchange sidings with tut S&D running bottom right to tut top left.
  5. Not forgetting the 'fun factor' which is priceless. It's frustrating at times but rolling yer own track is the best! .
  6. Prototype practice would be good for this range, as in crossing angles and blade types. Such as B6, A5 etc
  7. TBH a new machine with Windows 10 will be perfectly alright. Look for something with lots of memory (RAM, about 8gb) good graphics and a decent processor, an i5 will be good enough (forget i3's if specking for the arty/music route). As for make and model, I can't really help but I would suggest getting some PC mags and reading lots of reviews, well worth the expense on the research Above all, happy hunting. .
  8. I know what yer saying comrade, I'll have to slip one in the Mrs on Saturday. Edit: Mrs' shopping trolley on Saturday.
