Oh, it's not a suicide attempt but a useful tip if one does need to go down that route ;)

  2. My folks neigh*-bour used to eat horse. A very sweet smelling meat by all accounts but full of veins. *Had to get that in, but a true story all the same, honest gov.
  3. She looks like my mate's mother in law in a black wig... I did let him know. He's not replied to my message yet
  4. Yes please! Was discussing *Camerton with Mr Castens# this afternoon. *Not to be confused with Camerton #No tea or biscuits were harmed during the conversation, although the opportunity was available.
  5. I blame the French, for most things.
  6. Had a pleasant afternoon in the company of Mr Castens in his emporium of delights in the Hall of Larks After a friendly exchange over the new Pecohoohoo points & what extra buttons are needed on RMWebb I made a purchase of some train scribbles with pickchas. First up, The Bishops Waltham Branch by Roger Simmonds. A fablos book about the lovely LSWR branch near to my occasional stopping ground of Eastleigh, when I were a 'nipper'. Secondly, a Christmas present for the old man in the shape of 'Coal From *Camerton' by Neil Macmillen And Mike Chapman. *Not to be confused with Camerton.
  7. If I had the spare cash I'd make that a reality just for the hell of it (and it would suit my fat plank too).
  8. Is contemplating visiting The Titfield Thunderbolt this afternoon. I'm only after one book... we'll see how this story ends ;)

Followed by a “short “ visit over the road to a certain hostelry?

It’d be rude not too ;)

I've been very good and refused all refreshments offered and only bought two books... although there's always another day.

We had a lovely chat about trains and trainsets.

What's splendid fellow Mr Castens is.

      Hoorah!

Captain, tea / coffee were offered instantly after the handshake (no secret).

I declined, not being used to the water in the Hall of Larks.

  9. That is good news, 'ours' didn't return this year but they have been spotted in the neighbourhood, so all's good.
  10. Me, she's cool all the time.... unless I've been very naughty
  11. Done, with only 2 Valium required
  12. Actually I'm helping Mrs Dubya™ with her new kit today, details of 'what's on the sprues' can be found here. PS: DR Morti, I'm building an exact copy of a Peco© medium radius point* in ply and plastic 'cos they ain't built one yet but I reckom we're level pegging when it comes to release date *Keep up Morti !
  13. Today I shall be helping* Nola with her new kit, which has just arrived on a massive pallet after everyone else in the house 'had to go out'. * Man speak for 'If I wish to keep my b@ll@cks intact and have a relatively quiet rest of the weekend... (after we have had several arguments about how the funking thing goes together as the instruction will be a fairy funking tale!) Have a nice weekend PS: It's a sofa BTW PPS: No arguments occurred during the production of this screwless and glueless kit
  14. Talking of nuts, I'm on very dodgy ground at the moment... Edit: We're proper council, you get issued a pair of bolt cutters when you move into Foxhill. TBH we spent ages trying to think about where we got them from. Turns out Nola's (completely insane) Japanese friend bought them to 'take her bed apart' when she moved. We've just used them to cut up the springs on our old sofa, which had a shed load of rubberised horse hair matting in it... which I didn't save as I am a muppet! .
  15. Like a squirrel hiding his nuts... I blame the cold weather, certainly hides mine .
  16. Not Duck friendly I'm afraid... G.L. Uten
