  1. That's a museum in a box! I have a couple of those earlier style of Roxey kits, but fear they'll just melt away if I get anywhere near them with a paintbrush loaded with solvent.
  2. The route of the problem is a deliberate and planned run down of youth services by this government, with massive cuts in funding to FE colleges over the years. Secondary education is a farce and those of us working in the FE sector are left to pick up the pieces (again due to the lack of decent basic funding!). Arresting kids will do nothing except disenfranchising them even further. Cheers, Dubs
  3. Yes, I need to get some really fine sand paper anyway, so will polish them up. Doh!, why didn't I think of that in the first place Cheers
  4. Yes, they're in with these along with those I got from C&L. Which has got me wondering if Mr C&L might like to stock the flat check rail gauges?
  5. My existing check rail gauges were bought for OO-SF, 2 x long in steel and 2 x brass squares. I got them years ago from a guy called Russ Simpson in the US along with my original roller gauges. Unfortunately the steel pair are rather pitted due to my liberal use of flux, so I'm looking to replace them. The EMGS have the longer steel one for a fiver but as mentioned above a set of feeler gauges will be ideal. Cheers
  6. I thought you might, I did for literally years !
  7. Funny, we only tend to see Bullfinches this time of year. Although I haven't seen any yet.
  8. Have a look at the second post in this link from Martin on the Templot Forum (I highly recommend you join up if you haven't already, it's free). It's shows where to bend your rail before filing. https://85a.co.uk/forum/view_topic.php?id=359&forum_id=1 Cheers, Dubs
  9. As an aside, where do you get the flat bar for the crossing gauge, in the background? I can find bar @0.8mm thick (but I guess that would be for P4 ?) but I'm after 1mm thick for OO-SF / EM. I've looked on eBay and a general Google but with fruitless results. Cheers
  10. Well, at second hand and unmade, somebody wanted this one £45 bad.
  11. Have you checked your spam folder? I have always had exemplary service from Simon /@Not Jeremy of this parish. Very sorry to hear about your experience but I'm sure there's an explanation as to why? Cheers, Dubs.
  12. Funnily enough, I went through and unpacked my own stash into little boxes on Saturday, with some sadness I might add. Adrian was a cussid old git but he was always pretty much right when it came down to it. I didn't have many dealings with him, but he was always polite and on the ball. I wonder what will happen to all those lovely bits and kits now. Didn't he buy some of the white metal kits from D&S Danny?
  13. He is, they've just arrived and soon to be sacrificed at the alter of min.
  14. Indeed, one of the latest being in Mongolia: https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/06/asia/china-mongolia-bubonic-plague-intl-hnk-scli-scn/index.html
  15. An absolute bargain, I've recently ordered the 5.5" version for £60 from Derek @ Eileens!
  16. One of the first kits I built upon returning (is that a Wire song?) to the hobby 15 odd years ago. A nice easy build I seem to remember. Enjoy
  17. Not quite total madness but this is still available from Brian for £38:50 + p&p (and not for the £5:50, this seller was charging, I suspect).
  18. Sold you have to be quick but an excellent service from Andrew.
  19. If you want kits now, Andrew at WM Collectables has a few: http://www.wmcollectables.co.uk/index.php?pg=ff
