  1. Andrew at WM Collectables has quite a few of the Kirk and Mailcoach kits. http://www.wmcollectables.co.uk/index.php?pg=dc I've bought a couple of kits from him recently and can only say what excellent service he provides.
  2. According to the scibbles, those are folded into a u shape and make up the sole bars. Yes, I shall do as much detailing as possible before folding it up. I have the plans/and or photos in one of the volumes on Southern Railway wagons, so hopefully should get everything where it's supposed to go Of course, soldering advice shall come from Ricey's scribblings on the matter in his etched loco construction book. I'm still no committing myself though...
  3. Actually, that's not too bad @ 50p each, whether you decide to use them for mounting motors or for their intended purpose
  4. I'm not saying I am going to be building it, but I am saying, I've just broken the 'things that must only be bought & sold on eBay and never opened or used' rule... Anyone know where I can get haloperidol over the counter
  5. Very familiar with St Austell, Pentewan (which is where I thought you'd derived the name from), 'ggisy and Portmellon, where I've stayed many times at a house on the track to Chapel Point. I also spent a fair few holidays in the same friend's house when they lived in St Austell on Bodmin Road, just a few doors up from the General Wolfe. Happy days.
  6. PS: I note the return of the Toplight to the range, which I thought had dropped into the black hole of kits... the Coopercraft (non) continuum.
  7. Indeed sir, you want 1.5mm in the new, no chance! 2mm + now we're talking
  8. I've got the London Road Models etched version of the Dancehall, I don't hold out much hope for it, when I too, get aroundtuit.
  9. Good lad! You'll be building Queen Mary's from Jidenco kits in no time at all my babber
  10. Some bloke and his mates in green take a boat trip up a river to look for a mad (?) ex employee. It's hot, there's surfing and there's music by Wagner and Rasquin. Some geezer called Charlie keeps his feet dry.
  11. Top stuff indeed, you'll be sticking 'em together with your eyes shut in a day or two.
  12. Can't think of an all plastic solution but I think Cambrian do some etched brass tie bars?
  13. Especially the ones with birds on the cover... so most of 'em then
  14. but, but those wheels look newly painted, so surely there would be a trampled path to them from who ever wheeled them there after painting. Sorry, I'll get back to burning my fingers...
  15. My latest eBay find* includes the following item of significant historical interest. *It's been out of print for years with Livid Goose, @Captain Kernow, before you get all protective of that @Not Jeremy chap (with whom I currently have an order for even more train porn).
