  1. Thanks, I'm sure I will thoroughly enjoy destroying them into something resembling what they're supposed to look like. Andrew at WM Collectables is now on my approved suppliers list for future hard to find items. If I see, for example, a BSL/Phoenix kit I want on eBay then I'll whack a £30 bid on it and that's my max. The advantage I see from dealing with this supplier is that you can just buy it and not go into a bidding war. Cheers
  2. Indeed, Dübs of Glasgow being the contractor. After 1903, the North British Locomotive Company.
  3. Lucky I didn't mention the sharks and the Yasen class sub then in't it.
  4. Exactly, if I want something I don't mind paying for it. I don't mind paying over the odds to get it either. This is a relatively new thing for me but I am so much happier for it. Of course I've had my fair share of bargains, two just the other day from the guy selling expensive kits back up there, and I'll probably have them in my hands tomorrow (and a pile of sticky mess by teatime). Swings and roundabouts, life's too short, roll a fat one...
  5. I can't see a firty free from here but I think I can hear one.
  6. Ah, crossed wires Rob. I meant the Kernow 02's not the 14xx Both lovely runners straight outta the box. I've already got an Airfix jobby
  7. "That's Eggy that is"* *Widcombe (Bath), colloquialism for excellent. Which of course it is sir!
  8. I knew I needed something... Admittedly it was something else until I saw another one of you beautiful B4's
  9. Wow! I love your cut down Crompton man... seriously! It's almost akin to the backend of a Vauxhall Chevette minus it's bumper, truly magical.
  10. Yes, I had an email from the red team earlier on but unfortunately not on my shopping list... at the moment. Will your loan machine be arriving in the morning until the proper one gets to you?
  11. Has just purchased a Phoenix Maunsell Pull-Push set on mere whimsy...

£38:50 for these pair delivered, what I didn't realise was there's a Comet SR coach underframe detailing pack in each kit :)

  12. He's practically giving away the Phoenix coach kits @£17:50 a throw!
  13. "Who's coat is that jacket", for me. Other than that languages aren't my thing, especially the english one.
  14. I love scrumpy... I now have an account with Weston's, 12 litres of the stuff at a time for home delivery. https://www.westons-cider.co.uk/shopfront/ Regards to lockdown. At school Mr Howell said to me that I wouldn't amount to anything, but here I am led of my sofa* saving the world! *and watching the Sweeney.

  19. I found it mentioned on one of Weston-Superb-Mud's Tourist Information leaflets once upon a time, it was immediately on the places my mum and dad must take me. It never did happen, but they took me on the East Somerset Railway at every opportunity, for which I am eternally grateful. Think the old man loved the School's and that dirty great 9F tbh.
  20. I'm wondering if one P is enough for myself. I mean I think about having another P with increased frequency these days, so it's only logical I should just go have another. I think.
